To create a 24/7 YouTube stream of Punjabi music videos, first secure permission for every video and its music, then prepare an eligible YouTube channel and use an encoder or cloud playout service to send a continuous feed. Public availability of a song or video is not permission to rebroadcast it. Even licensed material can be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID.
1. Clear the music and video rights before you build the stream
Do not start with a playlist of videos you found online. A Punjabi music video can involve separate rights in the sound recording, the underlying composition, and the audiovisual recording. Identify the rights holders for each item and obtain authorization that covers the use you intend to make of it.

Ask the label, distributor, or other relevant rights holders to confirm in writing that the permission covers YouTube livestreaming, the territories where you plan to make the stream available, and whether YouTube may keep an archived replay. If the rights are limited by territory, duration, or platform, design the schedule around those limits rather than assuming a global, perpetual grant.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteYouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may cause the stream to be replaced by a placeholder and prompt you to stop streaming the material; if it remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube Help also warns that licensed material can still be interrupted unless the owner adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Ask the rights holder to do this where applicable; a license alone does not guarantee that automated systems will recognize your authorization. See YouTube Help’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and YouTube for Artists.
#1 Best Overall
- Keep a rights record for every video, including the permitted use, territories, term, and archive/replay conditions.
- Get written confirmation of any Content ID allowlisting, and check that it applies to the channel you will use.
- Do not treat a Content ID claim, a public upload, or a lack of an immediate warning as proof that you have permission.
2. Check that your YouTube channel can livestream
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. The minimum age to livestream is 16. Enable live streaming ahead of your planned launch, as YouTube for Artists recommends, rather than waiting until the day you intend to go live. Review the current requirements in YouTube Help’s live-streaming setup guidance.
3. Plan how the videos will become one continuous feed
You need a playout setup that can select the authorized videos in sequence and produce a continuous program feed for YouTube. YouTube documents encoder streaming for broadcasts, including events such as concerts, but its cited guidance does not prescribe a particular playlist application, 24/7 broadcast server, or failover design. Choose software or a service that supports your intended playlist workflow and the encoder-ingestion protocol you will use.

A dedicated hardware encoder is optional, not a YouTube requirement. Software or service-based encoder workflows are also possible. Before buying equipment, verify that the specific product supports YouTube’s current ingestion requirements and can produce the feed you need; no particular hardware model is established here as compatible.
4. Choose an encoder-ingestion protocol your setup supports
YouTube’s developer documentation describes RTMPS, HLS, and DASH as encoder ingestion options. They have different connection and media requirements, so use the official guide for the protocol supported by your chosen encoder. There is no universal best choice for every operator.
| Protocol | What the documentation describes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| RTMPS | RTMP carried over an SSL connection. | Confirm your encoder supports RTMPS and follow the current connection and media settings in YouTube’s RTMPS ingestion guide. |
| HLS | Media playlists and segments with protocol and format requirements. | Check encoder support and use the current playlist, segment, and delivery requirements in YouTube’s HLS ingestion guide. |
| DASH | A manifest and media segments with timing and delivery requirements. | Check encoder support and use the current manifest, segment, timing, and delivery requirements in YouTube’s DASH ingestion guide. |
Do not copy settings from an unrelated encoder or assume one protocol’s instructions apply to another. The applicable technical settings depend on the protocol and encoder; consult the matching current YouTube specification.
5. Configure, test, and launch the stream
- Prepare the authorized playlist. Use only items covered by your rights grants. Confirm the intended order and what should play when a video ends or the playlist reaches its end.
- Set up the encoder feed. Configure the playout system to output one continuous program and select the ingestion protocol it supports. Apply the matching YouTube technical requirements rather than guessing at media or connection settings.
- Connect the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a livestream and connect the encoder using the stream details YouTube provides. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not publish it, share it unnecessarily, or embed it in public-facing material.
- Run a controlled setup check. Before public launch, verify that the encoder is connected, video and audio reach the live dashboard, the playlist advances as intended, and the planned visibility and title are correct. A private or otherwise controlled check is a sensible precaution, not a substitute for rights clearance.
- Start the public broadcast and monitor it. Watch the YouTube live dashboard and the playout system. Assign someone to respond to a dropped feed, a rights notice, or a playlist failure; YouTube’s encoder guidance does not promise unattended 24/7 operation.
6. Decide whether to keep an archive
YouTube notes that Content ID claims on an archived live stream are made after the live stream completes if you choose to archive it. Check that your rights grants allow the replay as well as the live broadcast, then decide whether an archive is useful and operationally appropriate. If replay is not authorized, do not enable archiving on the assumption that live-stream permission automatically covers it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.7. Plan for interruptions rather than assuming 24/7 uptime
A continuous channel needs ongoing operational attention. YouTube’s cited material does not establish a guaranteed unattended setup or a specific resilience recipe. Decide who will monitor the stream, how they will learn that output has stopped, and what they are authorized to do if YouTube interrupts it or a rights holder contacts you.
Recommended Free Tools
- Keep a current copy of the authorized playlist and rights records available to the people managing the broadcast.
- Check the encoder and YouTube dashboard after launch and at intervals appropriate to your operation.
- Have a response plan for a lost encoder connection, a playlist that stops advancing, or a copyright warning. Do not simply restart disputed content without resolving the issue.
- Review the stream’s archive settings and rights conditions if you change the playlist or broadcast schedule.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your licensed Punjabi videos are ready, StreamNeo is a cloud option for keeping a YouTube stream running: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. It streams what you uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
Best Value
StreamNeo does not grant music or video rights, and its stream still depends on YouTube’s rules and rights-holder actions. Use it only with material you are authorized to livestream. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.
