To keep Kannada devotional videos playing on YouTube around the clock, prepare a rights-cleared video playlist, enable live streaming on your channel, and send the program to YouTube Live through an encoder. A local encoder gives you direct control but requires a powered computer, reliable internet, and monitoring. A cloud service can keep the feed running without a home computer. Either way, test the stream before launch, plan for interruptions, and do not count on one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast producing a complete YouTube replay.
1. Prepare a rights-cleared Kannada devotional program
Start with the recordings and visuals you own or have permission to stream. A song’s devotional, folk, bhajan, or traditional subject does not by itself make a particular recording, arrangement, performance, or video free to use. Rights in the composition and rights in a specific recording can also belong to different parties.

- Keep written permissions that cover YouTube live transmission, the intended channel, relevant territories, and any replay or archive use you plan to offer.
- If using licensed third-party music, ask the rights holder or its label or distributor whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist before you go live. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using copyright-protected music.
- Use visuals you have the right to stream as well, including album art, temple footage, and devotional imagery.
- Arrange the cleared recordings in a playlist or other program feed. Check that it has enough material to avoid an unexpected end, and confirm that transitions do not leave long silent gaps.
YouTube says that “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If a match is detected, YouTube may replace the stream image, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. Licensed content can still cause an interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel where its Content ID system requires that step. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and YouTube for Artists’ live-stream guidance.

2. Check that your channel can go live
Before building the schedule, confirm your channel meets YouTube’s current live-stream eligibility rules. YouTube requires channel verification, no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and that the streamer be at least 16 years old. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned launch. Check the prompts in YouTube Studio because eligibility and interface details can change. See YouTube’s live-stream eligibility requirements and encoder setup instructions.

3. Choose how to keep the program running
For a prepared devotional playlist, the main choice is whether to run the encoder yourself or use a hosted workflow. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; a hardware encoder is optional, not a prerequisite. YouTube’s encoder guide also lists AJA HELO Plus and describes its PlayToStream functionality for scheduling prerecorded media directly to YouTube Live. Check the current device documentation and suitability before buying.
| Approach | What stays on and connected | Best fit | Plan for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Software encoder on a local computer | The computer, power, internet connection, and encoder must remain available. | A channel that wants direct control of its playlist and can monitor the equipment. | Network or power loss, computer sleep or updates, encoder crashes, and operator response. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | The encoder and its network connection must remain available. | A setup that specifically benefits from dedicated encoding hardware or scheduled prerecorded playback. | Device setup, playlist workflow, monitoring, and recovery procedures; confirm these with the device maker. |
| Hosted cloud workflow | The hosted service runs the stream rather than a home computer. | A channel that wants the feed to continue without keeping a computer running at home. | Service terms, playlist features, stream-key handling, monitoring, cost, and archive needs. |
Compare options based on playlist scheduling and track changes, restart and alerting behavior, stream-key security, cost and support, recording strategy, and the audio-video layout you need. Do not select a bitrate or resolution by guesswork: check current YouTube encoder requirements and make sure the connection and equipment can sustain your chosen output.

4. Create the YouTube Live broadcast and connect the encoder
- Open the Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live. Use the Stream or Manage tab to create a broadcast or schedule one.
- Set the broadcast details. Add an accurate title and description, select visibility, and configure the audience setting. For your first test, use private or unlisted visibility as appropriate.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the Live server URL and stream key shown in Studio into the matching fields in your software or hardware encoder. YouTube explains this process in its encoder setup guide.
- Protect the key. Treat the stream key like a password: do not show it on screen, share it publicly, or include it in a public document. If exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Send a test feed. Start the encoder and wait for the incoming stream preview in the Live Control Room. Check the image, audio level, playlist transitions, and whether playback remains stable.
- Review from another device. Watch the private or unlisted test on a second device and verify that audio and video remain in sync and the picture is visible. YouTube for Artists recommends testing unlisted before higher-investment live events.
- Go live or schedule the start. Once the preview and test are satisfactory, start the broadcast in Studio or follow the scheduled broadcast workflow.
5. Design for continuous operation and a usable replay
A 24/7 feed needs a person or service to notice a frozen picture, silent audio, an exhausted playlist, network failure, encoder crash, or YouTube interruption. Decide in advance who checks the stream, how often it is checked, and how to restart the encoder and broadcast if the feed stops. Keep the original media and a separate backup copy; a live connection is not a substitute for a media backup.

Plan replay distribution separately from the continuous feed. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That rule does not mean a single uninterrupted 24/7 stream is guaranteed to produce one complete replay. If a full replay matters, consider shorter broadcast sessions or a separate local recording, then confirm the current archive behavior in Studio. YouTube’s encoder guidance covers the archive limit.

6. Understand monetization before relying on it
Eligible creators may be able to monetize live streams through ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships, subject to YouTube’s eligibility rules and settings. Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve, so do not treat a 24/7 schedule as a promise of revenue. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.
YouTube for Artists reported that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. That is broad platform context, not a forecast for Kannada devotional programming. YouTube also reported an average uplift of over 20% in instream ad revenue per hour for creators using automatic live mid-rolls compared with channels not using them, measured across 207 countries in January 2024. That platform-reported comparison is not a channel-specific earnings estimate.

If you do not want a computer and home internet connection to be responsible for keeping the program live, StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos to YouTube. The setup is: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera feed, and it streams to YouTube only.
- Nothing has to stay powered on at home; the stream runs from the cloud.
- Any quality up to 4K 60fps streams as uploaded at one flat price per slot, without re-encoding or quality tiers.
- It automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card, one free day per account.
The monthly option is $9.99 per month. Start a free day at StreamNeo registration.
