You can run a 24/7 YouTube stream of Tamil A. R. Rahman recordings with an encoder or a cloud streaming service—but first you need permission for every recording and the relevant rights holders must add your channel to their YouTube Content ID allowlist. YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content, so a stream can be interrupted even when you have permission if the owner has not allowlisted your channel.

Clear the rights before planning the stream

A. R. Rahman’s name does not identify the rights holder for any particular recording. The exact tracks, versions, territories and permissions are unspecified, so do not assume that a song is cleared because it is available on a music service, because you purchased it, or because you have permission to use a different version.

For every recording you plan to play, contact the relevant label, distributor or other rights holder. Confirm that your permission covers continuous YouTube live streaming in the territories where you intend the stream to be available and for the full period it will run. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using copyright-protected music. See YouTube for Artists’ guidance on going live for music channels.

Ask each rights holder to add your YouTube channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube says that licensed third-party content can still trigger live enforcement without this step. An encoder, computer, or hosting service cannot grant music rights or prevent a rights holder from enforcing them. The copyright safety checklist can help you organize checks, but it does not replace permission or allowlisting.

Check that your YouTube channel can go live

YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. YouTube for Artists recommends verifying at least 24 hours before the planned stream, so complete that step well ahead of launch. YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder and console as live-streaming methods; an encoder is the relevant option when you need more control over a music broadcast’s presentation.

Review YouTube’s current eligibility and streaming-method guidance at Get started with live streaming. If the channel is not eligible, resolve that before preparing a continuous broadcast.

Build and start the continuous encoder stream

  1. Prepare the cleared audio and visuals. Assemble only recordings for which you have the necessary rights and allowlisting. Decide whether to show a static image, artwork you are authorized to use, or another permitted visual. Music clearance does not automatically clear cover art, photographs, lyrics or other visual material.
  2. Set up an encoder for continuous playback. Use an encoder workflow capable of sending a continuous live feed and repeating your prepared material. YouTube describes encoder streaming as suitable for productions such as concerts and as offering more customization and control than mobile or webcam streaming. Its cited guidance does not prescribe a particular encoder, computer, hardware model, or looping configuration for a 24/7 broadcast.
  3. Create the live stream in YouTube’s live-streaming workflow. Choose encoder streaming, prepare the stream in YouTube, and copy its stream key into your encoder. Treat the key as private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. YouTube’s current Help page explains the available streaming methods and setup; follow the settings presented for your account and encoder.
  4. Match the encoder to the settings YouTube presents. Set the encoder’s output resolution, frame rate, bitrate, keyframe interval and audio format to values supported by the current YouTube and encoder instructions. The cited YouTube pages do not establish specific bitrate or keyframe numbers for this particular 24/7 music use case, so do not rely on a guessed preset. A higher-quality output also needs a sufficiently stable connection and encoder capacity.
  5. Test before making it continuous. Start a private or unlisted test if available to your channel, check that audio and visuals reach YouTube, and confirm that the playback repeats as intended. Verify that the stream remains stable before relying on it for an extended broadcast.
  6. Start the public broadcast and monitor enforcement. Keep an eye on the live stream and YouTube Studio for warnings. YouTube scans live broadcasts for matches to third-party content and may replace the feed with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material. If the content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated.

For a 24/7 operation, the encoder and its playback source must remain able to send the feed. YouTube’s cited guidance supports encoder streaming but does not prescribe a specific always-on local setup, uptime, power-use level, or recovery method.

Decide whether to archive the live stream

Archiving is a separate choice from broadcasting. YouTube says Content ID claims on archived live streams are made after the stream ends if you choose to archive it. A live-stream permission should not be assumed to cover an archive, replay, or other use: confirm those rights separately with the relevant owner before enabling or distributing an archive.

Troubleshoot interruptions and setup problems

  • You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified and has had no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Review the eligibility details in YouTube’s live-streaming Help page.
  • You receive a copyright warning or the feed is replaced: Stop using the flagged material. Confirm that the exact recording is covered by your permission and ask its rights holder to allowlist your channel in Content ID. A license alone may not prevent live interruption without allowlisting.
  • YouTube stops the broadcast: Check YouTube Studio for strikes, as YouTube advises. Resolve the rights or eligibility issue before restarting rather than immediately sending the same material again.
  • The stream stops repeating or loses its feed: Check that the encoder and playback source are still running and that the continuous-play configuration has not ended or failed. The cited platform guidance does not provide a specific recovery setting for an encoder.
  • The archive receives a claim after the broadcast: Review the claim and your archive permissions. YouTube says claims on archived live streams are made after the stream ends when the creator chooses to archive it.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; the cloud keeps looping the uploaded video, so nothing has to stay on at home. It does not broadcast from a camera, and it does not clear music rights—use it only with recordings and visuals you are authorized to stream.

  • Any quality up to 4K 60fps, streamed as uploaded at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers.
  • Automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
  • The first day is free with no card; one free day per account.
  • Monthly: $9.99 per month.
