A Set is iterable, so spread reads its values in traversal order. You can also use Array.from(set).
Convert a Set with array spread
Pass the Set directly to array spread:
const colors = new Set(["red", "green", "blue"]);
const values = [...colors];
console.log(values); // ["red", "green", "blue"]Because a Set is iterable, spread collects its values into an array in the Set’s traversal order. TypeScript’s handbook demonstrates this general pattern for iterables as [...xs]: TypeScript: Iterators and Generators.
Keep the element type
The array element type is inferred from the Set. For example, a Set<number> produces a number[]:
const numbers = new Set<number>([1, 2]);
const values = [...numbers]; // number[]Convert an empty Set
Spreading an empty Set produces an empty array:
const empty = new Set<string>();
const values = [...empty]; // []Use Array.from as an alternative
Array.from also converts an iterable into an array:

const colors = new Set(["red", "green", "blue"]);
const values = Array.from(colors);Both approaches produce a new array of the Set’s values. Use whichever form fits the surrounding code better; spread is compact, while Array.from makes the conversion explicit.
What the conversion copies
The result is a new array containing the same values, in the same traversal order. It is a shallow copy: changing the array’s structure does not change the Set, but objects held in both still refer to the same objects.

const set = new Set([item]);
const array = [...set];
array.push({ name: "book" }); // Does not add to set
array[0].name = "marker"; // Also changes the object referenced by setCheck TypeScript and runtime compatibility
Compiler library declarations
TypeScript’s lib setting controls which built-in JavaScript APIs the compiler recognizes. The ES2015 library includes declarations for Set and Map, and lib can be configured independently of target. See TypeScript’s lib reference.
Runtime support and older targets
TypeScript declarations help the compiler understand APIs; they do not add those APIs to the runtime. The environment running your code must support Set, iteration, and Symbol.iterator. TypeScript explains how target affects emitted JavaScript and default library declarations in its type declarations handbook.

If you target ES5, the handbook notes restrictions on using non-array iterables with for...of. The downlevelIteration option enables more faithful iterator-protocol handling for constructs such as array spread, but it does not provide a runtime Symbol.iterator. The runtime still needs iterator support, either natively or through a shim. See the TypeScript 2.3 release notes.
