Muvi Live and YouTube use separate stream URLs and stream keys. To send one live production to both, create a Muvi Live event and a YouTube live event, then configure an encoder or cloud relay that supports multiple destinations with each service’s own credentials. Muvi advertises social-media integration that includes YouTube, but its available setup guide does not document direct channel-linking steps, so the encoder route is the clearest documented method.
What you need before connecting the services
- A verified YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the event. YouTube’s encoder instructions cover activation and stream setup.
- A Muvi Live event configured for encoder or RTMP input.
- An encoder or relay that can send to both Muvi and YouTube at the same time. OBS is the encoder shown in Muvi’s guide; exact multi-output controls vary by software or service.
- Enough upload capacity for the combined output bitrate. Test from the actual production location and monitor each platform’s stream health.
Keep the two credential sets separate. A Muvi stream key grants access to Muvi ingest; a YouTube stream key grants access to YouTube ingest. Never publish either key or show it in an unredacted screenshot.
Configure Muvi Live and YouTube as separate destinations
1. Create the Muvi Live event
- In the Muvi Dashboard, open Content Management → Content Library → Add New.
- Choose Live Stream, select an encoding profile and category, then open Manage Source.
- Select Encoder or Streaming Software – RTMP, choose the nearest location, and save.
- Complete the event’s design, monetization, security, description, and advanced options as needed, then save the event.
2. Copy Muvi’s ingest details
In Content Library, find the new live stream and open Stream Info. Copy the Muvi Stream URL and Stream Key. Those are the credentials for the Muvi destination in your encoder.
3. Create or select a YouTube live event
In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, then use the Stream tab to create or select the event. Copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses those YouTube-specific values in the encoder destination; see Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

When using an adapter, if the device is recognized as USB 2.0, try using the other side with the USB-C port. Simply flip the capture card and reconnect it to be recognized as USB 3.0
4. Add both destinations to your encoder or relay
Create one output for Muvi using Muvi’s URL and key, and a separate output for YouTube using YouTube’s URL and key. In the OBS setup documented by Muvi, choose Custom as the service and enter Muvi’s URL in Server and Muvi’s key in Stream Key. Add YouTube as a second output using YouTube’s credentials. A single standard OBS output configuration does not itself establish that both destinations are being sent; use a multi-output capability or relay that explicitly supports simultaneous destinations.
If configuring YouTube for RTMPS, use the secure ingestion details and protocol guidance applicable to the YouTube event: Delivering Live YouTube Content via RTMPS.

5. Start and verify both feeds
- Start the Muvi stream in the dashboard and wait for its server to start.
- Start sending from the encoder or relay.
- In YouTube Live Control Room, check that the preview arrives and use Go live when ready.
- Confirm playback at both destinations. Share the Muvi player link, HLS URL, or embed code with viewers using Muvi; share the YouTube watch page with YouTube viewers.
6. End the event deliberately
Stop the encoder when the feed is finished. End the YouTube event in Live Control Room as appropriate. Muvi distinguishes a temporary pause—stopping from the encoder—from permanently stopping the event in the Muvi dashboard; the latter ends it and avoids unnecessary streaming-hour consumption.

Does Muvi connect directly to a YouTube channel?
Muvi’s live streaming product page advertises social-media integration and says users can stream live audio events to social channels such as YouTube. That supports the existence of a marketed integration, but it does not establish the current channel-linking sequence, which Muvi Live plans include it, or whether it publishes video in the same manner as the encoder route. Check your current Muvi dashboard or ask Muvi support to confirm whether the direct integration is available for your account. The documented encoder workflow above does not depend on assuming such a feature.

Plan bandwidth and choose a publishing method
For separate simultaneous outputs, add the target bitrates of the destinations to estimate total upload demand. YouTube’s example is 6 Mbps plus 4 Mbps, or 10 Mbps combined; its guidance recommends upload capacity 1.5 to 2 times that total—15–20 Mbps in that example. These are platform instructions, not a guarantee that a connection will sustain a real event: leave headroom for network variation, test under realistic conditions, and watch each destination’s stream-health indicators. See YouTube’s guidance on streaming across platforms.
- Local encoder: offers local production control and may suit a capable computer, but your connection must carry the combined outputs and your computer must handle the production workload.
- Cloud relay: receives one feed and distributes it to destinations. YouTube notes this can simplify setup, reduce load on a slow computer, and suit more than two channels; it often involves a subscription. Verify the relay supports both Muvi and YouTube before relying on it.
Choose based on destination support, available upload capacity, reliability needs, latency, local computer capability, control, and cost. There is no documented single-click Muvi-to-YouTube workflow in the Muvi encoder guide.

If your goal is to keep a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos rather than relay a camera or live production, StreamNeo is a separate option: upload a recording or make a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so a computer and home connection do not need to stay on. It supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; after that, Monthly is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos; it is not a camera-live workflow. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
