Clockify’s Peppol e-invoicing add-on sends invoices created in Clockify to recipients on the Peppol network. Install it from the CAKE.com Marketplace, enter your company’s details and Peppol ID, add each client’s Peppol ID, then send invoices through the add-on. Both sender and recipient must be registered on Peppol. Clockify describes outgoing invoices as using Peppol BIS 3.0; installing the add-on alone does not establish that your entire invoicing workflow meets every local legal requirement.
What the Clockify–Peppol integration does
The integration is a paid add-on for sending invoices created in Clockify through Peppol. It is installed through the CAKE.com Marketplace rather than enabled with a switch in the invoice form. Clockify documents outgoing invoice delivery, a sent-invoice history, status information, failure reasons, and a retry action after errors are corrected. Its documentation does not establish that the add-on handles all incoming invoices or replaces a complete accounting workflow.
Clockify says invoices sent through the add-on use Peppol BIS 3.0. That is the product’s format description, not an independent determination that an invoice complies with every jurisdiction’s requirements. - Clockify plan: Clockify’s help article says invoice access on a Standard plan or higher is required. CAKE.com’s May 28, 2026 launch announcement names Standard, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Because the wording differs, check the current eligibility and add-on terms in the Marketplace before proceeding.
- Peppol registration: Both your business and each recipient need to be registered on Peppol and have valid Peppol IDs. Clockify says it checks client registration when you enter the client details.
- Volume: Clockify lists two paid add-on tiers: Starter, capped at 20 invoices per month, and Growth, capped at 100 invoices per month. These are the published caps in Clockify’s help article; it does not state prices. Confirm current availability, price, and terms in the CAKE.com Marketplace.
- Business workflow: Confirm that the add-on supports what you need beyond sending—especially receiving and processing invoices, accounting-system integration, country coverage, and applicable local requirements.

Set up the add-on and send an invoice
- Install the add-on. Open the CAKE.com Marketplace, find the Peppol e-invoicing add-on, and install it for the Clockify workspace you intend to use.
- Enter your sender details. In the workspace’s add-on settings, provide your company name, address, tax ID, and Peppol ID, then connect e-invoice.
- Add the client. Open the add-on’s Clients tab and enter the client’s company details and Peppol ID. Clockify says it checks whether the client is registered; if verification fails, it displays an error.
- Send the intended invoice. Open that invoice and choose Send via Peppol from the add-on actions menu. Clockify says the outgoing invoice is sent in Peppol BIS 3.0 format.
- Check delivery status. Use Sent invoices to review the history and status. If an invoice fails, read the displayed reason, correct the relevant information, and retry.
Be careful with the bulk-send action
Clockify warns that choosing Send to Peppol on the main invoice screen sends all invoices shown on that page. If you mean to send only one invoice, open that invoice and use its individual Send via Peppol action instead.

Does connecting Clockify to Peppol make you legally compliant?
Not by itself. The Clockify materials describe the outgoing format and sending workflow; they do not establish compliance for every business, country, invoice type, or accounting process. Check the rules that apply to your business and verify that your complete process covers every required step.

For Belgium specifically, the Federal Public Service Finance says its structured e-invoicing obligation took effect on January 1, 2026. Its guidance says businesses need software connected to Peppol to send, receive, and process structured invoices. It also cautions that its software list is not comprehensive and that being listed is not a quality evaluation or certification. If sending fails
- Read the failure reason in Sent invoices rather than immediately sending again.
- Check that the sender details and Peppol ID are complete and that the client’s company details and Peppol ID are correct.
- If Clockify reports that client verification failed, confirm the client’s Peppol registration and ID.
- Correct the information identified by the error, then use the add-on’s retry action.
- If the error remains, contact the relevant Clockify or Peppol service support channel with the invoice status and failure reason.
