To monitor a website with Browse AI and route changes through Zapier, first create and approve a Browse AI robot, configure its monitor and schedule, then connect Browse AI to Zapier and map the trigger data into your destination app. You can start the Zap from either Browse AI or Zapier; test the chosen trigger before relying on its fields.
What you need before connecting Browse AI to Zapier
- A Browse AI account with at least one approved robot.
- A Zapier account. Browse AI’s guide does not say that a paid Zapier plan is required.
- The destination app or service where you want to send results, such as a spreadsheet, CRM, or team messaging app.
The connection guide, by Melissa Shires and dated March 21, 2025, describes the setup. The specific trigger events available can vary by integration, so confirm the options Zapier presents for your account.
Set up a Browse AI monitor
Monitoring is configured on the Browse AI robot. The service’s guide, dated December 5, 2025, describes adding a monitor during robot creation or from an approved robot’s Monitor tab.

- Create or open the robot that will collect the information you want to watch. Train it to capture the relevant fields, such as a product price, availability, or a page section.
- Open the robot’s Monitor tab, or add monitoring as part of creating the robot.
- Set the monitoring preferences. The guide lists hourly, daily, weekly, or minute frequency, days of the week, a time and time zone, and the origin URL. The live interface may change, so use the options currently shown for your robot.
- Save the configuration to activate the monitor.
Choose a cadence based on how quickly you need to react to changes. More frequent checks can make results fresher, while a slower schedule may be sufficient for information that changes infrequently.

Connect Browse AI to Zapier
There are two ways to begin. Either path leads to a Zapier setup flow for choosing the Browse AI trigger, destination app, and field mappings.
Start from Browse AI
- Open the Browse AI dashboard and select the approved robot you want to use.
- Open its Integrate tab and select the Zapier tile.
- Choose a suggested Zap template or search for the app you want to connect, then follow Zapier’s setup prompts.
Start from Zapier
- Open Browse AI’s Zapier integration page.
- Select the destination app or a suitable template and follow Zapier’s guided setup.

Choose and test the Browse AI trigger
In Zapier, select Browse AI as the trigger app, connect your Browse AI account if prompted, and choose an event. The March 21, 2025 Browse AI guide lists these events, while noting that availability differs by integration:

- Select the robot or other requested account data in the trigger setup.
- Use Zapier’s test step to fetch a sample event before configuring downstream actions.
- Inspect the returned fields and confirm the sample contains the data your destination app needs.
Testing first matters because later field mapping depends on the actual fields returned by the selected trigger. A monitor-change trigger and a task-completion trigger may provide different kinds of events.

Add the destination action and map fields
- Add an action for the destination app, such as creating or updating a spreadsheet row, adding a CRM record, or sending a team notification.
- Connect the destination account when Zapier asks.
- Map each destination field to the corresponding Browse AI field from the tested sample. For example, map a captured product name and price to the matching spreadsheet columns.
- Test the action and check the destination app for the expected record or message.
- Turn on the Zap when both the trigger and destination tests behave as intended.
For a notification workflow, include enough context in the action to identify the monitored page or changed field. For record-keeping, check whether the destination action creates a new row or updates an existing one; select the action that matches how you want to preserve changes.
Useful website-monitoring workflows
- Price or availability tracking: send monitored changes to a spreadsheet so you can review how values move over time.
- Lead collection: route extracted lead details to a CRM.
- Team alerts: send a Slack notification when monitored data changes.
- Event-driven extraction: use an event in another app to start a Browse AI task.
Pass URLs from one robot to another
For deeper collection, Browse AI describes a pattern where Robot A finds URLs, Zapier passes each URL to Robot B, and Robot B extracts details from those pages. Configure the handoff so the second robot receives the URL field produced by the first robot’s tested output. Avoid configuring a robot to trigger itself; the guide warns that this can create an infinite loop.

Troubleshoot a Browse AI Zap
- Zapier cannot connect to Browse AI: check that the Browse AI account is connected in Zapier. Reconnect it if needed, then run the trigger test again.
- No sample data appears: confirm the robot has completed at least one successful run, then retry the trigger test.
- The destination receives blank or incorrect values: inspect the trigger sample and remap the destination fields to the correct Browse AI outputs. Test the action again.
- The Zap reports an error: open Zapier task history and inspect the failed run to identify which step needs attention.
- A workflow repeats unexpectedly: review the trigger and action chain for a robot that starts itself, directly or through another Zap. Break the loop by changing the trigger or removing the self-triggering action.
- The trigger you expected is missing: available Browse AI events differ across integrations. Select an event that is offered for your setup and test whether it supplies the information your destination step requires.
