To run a 24/7 YouTube music stream with OBS on JioFiber, schedule or create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, connect OBS to its stream details, then test the entire audio, video and upload path before going public. Continuous streaming depends on your computer, power, JioFiber connection, music rights and YouTube’s live-stream systems; OBS and a broadband plan alone cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime.
Check YouTube eligibility and music rights first
Confirm that the channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to stream. YouTube also states that streamers must be at least 16. Encoder streaming is a supported way to broadcast. Check the channel’s access in YouTube Studio before configuring OBS: YouTube live-streaming eligibility.
Clear the music and visual material
Use music and visuals whose rights cover the intended live broadcast and any replay or archive. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A license by itself may not prevent interruption: if the music is managed through Content ID, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its allowlist before the stream. YouTube’s guidance explains this process: copyright issues with live streams.

- Create the event: In YouTube Studio, open the live-streaming workflow and create or schedule a stream using the encoder option. Keep the event open so you can use its stream details and later check the incoming preview and stream health.
- Connect OBS: In OBS, open Settings → Stream. Choose YouTube or the service/RTMP option available in your installed OBS version. Connect your YouTube account, or enter the stream URL and key displayed in YouTube Studio. Keep the key private; anyone with it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Set a loopable program: Prepare the video and audio that OBS will send, and check that the music loops without gaps, abrupt cutoffs or unintended silence. For a mostly static visual, a higher frame rate may not improve the listener’s experience enough to justify the additional upload demand.
- Choose a stable output: In OBS output and video settings, select a resolution and frame rate your computer can encode and your tested upload connection can sustain. Use H.264 with CBR, a two-second keyframe interval, and AAC or MP3 audio. Prefer RTMPS for encrypted delivery when available.

Choose resolution and bitrate for your actual upload
Do not choose a bitrate based on the JioFiber plan name. YouTube advises testing upload bitrate, running a representative stream test, and monitoring stream health. Its published H.264 recommendations provide a useful reference, not a guarantee that a particular JioFiber connection can sustain the setting:

These are YouTube’s currently published H.264 encoder settings, accessed October 3, 2026; check YouTube’s current table when configuring because recommendations can change. YouTube lists stereo AAC or MP3 audio at 128 Kbps and 44.1 kHz in its advanced settings. It recommends CBR, a two-second keyframe interval (not over four seconds), and RTMPS for encrypted delivery. For a static music visual, 720p30 or 1080p30 is a reasonable starting point only if extended tests show stable headroom. If upload testing or YouTube stream-health warnings indicate instability, lower the bitrate or resolution and test again. Leave headroom for normal connection variation rather than setting OBS at the edge of the measured upload capacity.

Test, launch and monitor the broadcast
- Run a private or unlisted test where appropriate. Use representative audio and video, listen for clipping, gaps and loop transitions, and confirm the correct YouTube event receives the signal.
- Check YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Confirm the incoming preview and stream health before making the event public or completing its scheduled go-live workflow.
- Test for long enough to expose instability. A short successful connection does not establish that the computer, upload path or power will remain available around the clock.
- Keep a recovery plan. Have someone able to check the broadcast, restart OBS if necessary, and verify the stream key and event after a disconnection. A UPS may help through a brief power interruption if sized for the connected equipment and desired runtime; it does not back up the JioFiber network.
Account for JioFiber plan terms
Jio’s postpaid FAQ describes its plans as “unlimited plans for home use only” and says RJIL may discontinue service for misuse, fraudulent, unauthorized or commercial use. The FAQ does not establish whether every 24/7 broadcast is allowed or prohibited, or define how a particular stream would be classified. Troubleshoot common OBS and YouTube problems
- YouTube receives no signal: Check that OBS is using the active YouTube event’s stream URL and key, that the correct service is selected in OBS, and that the outbound connection is available.
- Dropped frames or poor stream health: Reduce bitrate or resolution, retest upload stability, and inspect the local network path. Use YouTube’s stream-health indicators to guide further adjustment.
- The stream stops after music begins: Check Live Control Room for a copyright warning or strike. Stop disputed material and resolve the rights issue; for licensed Content ID music, ask the owner to allowlist the channel.
- Concern about Jio’s usage terms: Review the terms for your precise plan, especially if the broadcast is commercial; the general FAQ includes a commercial-use qualification.
- Power loss interrupts the stream: Restore power, restart the computer and OBS if needed, and check the YouTube event before sending the stream again. A UPS only provides the runtime its capacity and connected load permit.
