To close a LendingClub personal-loan account, pay off the loan: LendingClub says the account is no longer active once the obligation is paid. A pending application and a bank deposit account require different steps, so first identify which kind of account you mean.
Close an active LendingClub personal loan
LendingClub’s account-management guidance says, “Once you pay off your obligation, your account is no longer active.” It directs borrowers to separate payoff instructions; it does not describe a separate borrower-account deletion button.

Sign in to the Member Center and identify the loan. If you contact support, have your account ID ready; LendingClub says it appears at the top of the Member Center after sign-in.

Follow LendingClub’s separate loan payoff instructions. If you need an official payoff statement, contact LendingClub and request one. The account-management guidance does not give the payoff amount or payment steps.

Keep confirmation of your final payment. LendingClub says it reports payoff to credit bureaus within 30 days of the final payment. That is the provider’s stated reporting window, not a guarantee of the date a particular bureau will show the update.
Cancel a pending credit application
If the credit request has not been funded, LendingClub’s application terms say you may cancel it without a fee or penalty by notifying LendingClub in writing, provided you give enough advance notice to prevent funding. This is a cancellation of a pending request, not the payoff process for an existing loan.

Close a LendingClub Bank CD
A CD has its own closure process. LendingClub Bank’s CD FAQ says that during the 10-day grace period at the end of an initial or subsequent CD term, you can close it through Online Banking or the bank app:

Sign in and select the CD.

Choose “Review Options,” then “Close My CD.”

Select a balance disbursement option.
The FAQ says to contact the bank for help. This route is specific to CDs; it does not establish how to close checking or savings accounts. For those accounts, use the current in-app support route or contact the bank for instructions for your product.
