Clear the cache in Chrome for Android

Open Chrome and tap More (the three-dot menu) beside the address bar.

Tap Delete browsing data. If the category selector is not visible, open the detailed options.

Choose the time range you want to clear, then select Cached images and files.

Leave Cookies and site data, browsing history, passwords, autofill data, and site settings unchecked unless you intend to delete those too.

Tap Delete data and confirm if prompted.
You can also find the controls through Chrome > More > Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data. Menu wording and layout can vary between Chrome releases and languages.
Check the selected categories before confirming
Chrome’s deletion dialog can include browsing history, open tabs, cookies and site data, saved passwords, autofill entries, and site settings. Deleting history can close open tabs; deleting passwords, autofill entries, or site settings affects those saved items. If Chrome indicates that data saved to your Google Account will be removed, consider whether sync or other signed-in devices are involved before proceeding.

Tap Settings > Personal browsing data > Delete browsing data.

Select Cached images and files. Leave cookies and site data, history, passwords, and autofill unchecked for a cache-only clear.

Tap Delete data, then Delete to confirm.
Samsung’s US support guidance notes that deleting selected browser data can require you to sign in to websites again. Available controls may differ by software version.
Clear the cache in Firefox for Android

Open Firefox and tap the three-dot menu.

Select Cached images and files, leaving unrelated categories unchecked.

Tap Delete browsing data to clear the selected files.
Firefox presents other choices separately, including open tabs, history and site data, cookies and site data, site permissions, and downloads. Its optional Delete browsing data on quit setting is for automatic deletion when you leave a session; it is not needed for a one-time cache clear.
Cache, cookies, and Android app storage are different
Cached images and files
A browser cache stores page resources such as images so a site may load them more quickly on a later visit. Clearing it makes the browser fetch those resources again. A site may therefore load more slowly the next time you visit it.

Cookies and site data
Cookies and other site data are not the same as cached files. They can store session information, preferences, or other website data. Clearing them may sign you out or remove saved site preferences, so leave them unchecked if your goal is only to clear the cache.
Android’s app-level cache and data
Android Settings has separate controls for an app’s storage. On Galaxy devices, Samsung’s documented route is Settings > Apps > select the app > Storage > Clear cache; labels and steps can vary by Android version and app. That setting is different from deleting website cache inside the browser. Avoid Clear data unless you mean to reset the app: Samsung warns that it removes personal settings or saved data.

Clearing cached files can help if a page has a loading or formatting problem, or if you want the browser to fetch a fresher copy of page resources. It is not a guaranteed fix. A connection problem, device or browser setting, software issue, or website problem can also prevent a page from loading.
