Clean the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For visible wax or debris at a nozzle, remove the eartip and gently clear the area with a small brush or cotton swab. Keep the earbuds’ and case’s charging contacts clean and dry, and do not rinse or soak either the earbuds or case.
What you need
- A soft, dry, lint-free cloth for the earbuds’ exterior and the charging case. A clean microfiber cloth is one suitable option.
- A small brush or cotton swab for visible debris around a nozzle, used gently.
A third-party Nord Buds 3r care page recommends these tools; it is not OnePlus documentation. The available OnePlus product information does not approve specific cleaning liquids or agents.
How to clean the earbuds and case
-
Wipe the exterior surfaces
Use the dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the earbuds and the outside of the charging case. Avoid pushing debris into openings.

Keep charging contacts clean and dry
Check the charging contacts on both earbuds and inside the case. Keep them clean and dry; do not apply liquid or spray cleaner to them.
What to avoid
- Do not rinse, soak, or submerge the earbuds or charging case.
- Do not use alcohol, solvents, detergents, sprays, compressed air, or other liquids as though they were approved for this model; the available official guidance does not establish that they are safe.
- Do not force a tool into a nozzle or scrape the charging contacts.
- Do not use heat or assume a particular drying time if the earbuds or case become wet. The available model-specific guidance does not provide a drying procedure.
What IP55 resistance does—and does not—mean
OnePlus lists IP55 water and dust resistance for the Nord Buds 3r earbuds; the charging case is excluded. That rating is not permission to rinse or submerge the earbuds. OnePlus also cautions that resistance may diminish as the device ages and states that liquid and dust damage are not covered under warranty. See the OnePlus Nord Buds 3r product page.

Care guidance and its limits
The practical cleaning steps above reflect a third-party Nord Buds 3r care page, not a confirmed OnePlus cleaning procedure. OnePlus’s product page establishes the resistance and warranty caveats, but does not specify approved cleaning agents or a detailed procedure for drying wet earbuds. When in doubt, stick to dry, gentle cleaning rather than adding liquid.
