To claim an existing business page on Tripadvisor, go to the Tripadvisor Owners page, search for your business, select the correct listing, and follow the claim prompts. Tripadvisor requires identity and business-affiliation verification before an authorized representative can manage the page.
Claim an existing Tripadvisor listing

Open Tripadvisor Owners and search by your business name.

Choose the listing that matches your business and follow the on-screen prompts to claim it. Check the address and other identifying details so you do not select a similarly named business.

Complete the identity and affiliation verification Tripadvisor presents for that listing. The available method can vary by business type and region. Tripadvisor’s hotel guidance describes sending a verification code to the hotel’s publicly listed phone number; do not assume that same method applies to restaurants, attractions, or every country.

If your business already has a public page
A traveler may have submitted a page for a business that the business itself did not add. That does not prevent an authorized representative from claiming the existing listing. Start by searching the Owners page rather than creating a duplicate page.

What you can do after claiming
Tripadvisor describes claiming as the first step to accessing its Management Center. Depending on the listing, verified representatives can update business information and photos, respond to reviews, and view performance insights. Restaurant representatives can also edit menu information; hotel representatives can manage details such as amenities.
Is claiming a business on Tripadvisor free?
Yes. Tripadvisor presents the claim and core listing-management features as free, including listing customization, photo uploads, review responses, and performance insights. Paid marketing products are separate and are not required to claim a listing. Tripadvisor names Business Advantage and Sponsored Placements for hotels, and Ads and Premium for restaurants; availability and terms may change.

Tripadvisor’s hotel and restaurant claim pages display company-reported comparisons based on internal Tripadvisor metrics from August 2023 through August 2024. For hotels, the page reports 3.5 times more visits, 3 times more saves, and 2.5 times more reviews for owners who claim. For restaurants, it reports 2.5 times more visits, 1.5 times more saves, and 50% more reviews. These are Tripadvisor’s own comparisons, not independently validated evidence that claiming caused the differences; the pages do not establish that the hotel and restaurant samples or methods are directly comparable.
