To claim a monthly PlayStation Plus game, open the Monthly Games section on your PS5 or PS4 and select the title. On PS4, choose Add to Library before Download; on PS5, select Download. You can also start a download remotely from a browser or the PlayStation App.
Claim and download a monthly game on PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab, then select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game you want and select Download.
Claim and download a monthly game on PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll down and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game, then select Add to Library > Download.
Start a download remotely
PlayStation says members can select a PlayStation Plus game in a web browser or the PlayStation App and start its download to a PS5 or PS4. The exact button sequence depends on the current interface; use PlayStation’s remote-download guidance for the browser or app steps.

What to know about monthly games
- PlayStation describes monthly games as titles you can download and play at no extra cost during your PlayStation Plus membership. Access to games you have added depends on an active membership. See PlayStation Support for access details.
- New monthly games are added each calendar month, but that does not establish a specific claim deadline for a particular game. Check the current Monthly Games listing for the offer and dates in your region.
- Monthly Games are separate from the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. PlayStation’s US plan page lists Monthly Games with Essential, Extra, and Premium; the Game Catalog with Extra and Premium; and the Classics Catalog with Premium. Catalog titles can have their own availability dates. See PlayStation’s US plans and games page.
