Google’s Pixel Watch 5 comes in 41 mm and 45 mm cases. Measure your wrist, check the fit ranges for the case and its included Active Band pieces, then choose the case size you prefer: Google describes the 45 mm model as having a larger display and case, while the 41 mm is smaller and slightly lighter.
Choose the 41 mm or 45 mm case
Measure around your wrist where you plan to wear the watch, then compare your measurement with Google’s overall fit ranges. Google’s current US Store FAQ lists 130–210 mm for the standard 41 mm Pixel Watch 5 and 150–215 mm for the standard 45 mm model. The 45 mm Stephen Curry Special Edition has a separate stated range of 140–215 mm. Google’s FAQ frames the choice as one of “preference, style, and fit.” Choose the 45 mm if you want the larger case and display; choose the 41 mm if you prefer a smaller, slightly lighter case. Google lists case diameters of 45 mm and 41 mm, respectively, and weights without bands of 36.7 g and 31.0 g. Those figures describe the watch without its band; they do not establish how either size will feel on an individual wrist.

Both standard sizes include small and large Active Band pieces. Their stated wrist ranges overlap, so if your measurement fits both pieces, try both rather than assuming your case size dictates a single band choice.

Decide whether you need a separate band
A replacement band is optional: the watch includes both Active Band pieces, and Google sells additional styles for different material and appearance preferences. Google’s band category lists styles including Gradient Stretch, Performance Loop, Active Sport, Woven, Active, Metal Mesh, Crafted Leather, Metal Links, Metal Slim, and Two-Tone Leather. Compatibility can be limited to a particular case size, so verify the exact 41 mm or 45 mm version on the individual product page before buying. Google Pixel Watch bands.

Compare the band’s own fit range and adjustment method, material, water and sweat guidance, and case compatibility. Do not assume a replacement band uses the included Active Band’s sizing.

A practical way to make the choice
- Measure your wrist where the watch will sit, then compare it with Google’s overall range for the case you are considering.
- Choose the case by preference as well as fit. The ranges overlap; the official figures do not define a universal wrist-measurement cutoff between the smaller and larger case.
- Try both included Active Band pieces if your measurement falls within their overlapping ranges.
- For a separate band, confirm the exact case compatibility and band-specific range, then check its material, adjustment style, and Google’s water and sweat guidance.
