For a smaller wrist, compare a G-Shock’s case length, width, thickness and weight—not just its width—then check the compatible band-size range for the exact model. Casio’s GMA-P2100 is the smallest and lightest of the three octagonal analog-digital models compared below, but measurements alone cannot determine whether a watch will feel or look right on you. Try it on if possible.
What to compare when choosing a G-Shock
Case width is useful, but it does not tell the whole fit story. Length affects how far the case spans across the wrist; thickness affects how prominent it feels; weight can change how noticeable it is during wear. The band matters too: its stated compatible range indicates whether it can accommodate a given wrist circumference, but it is not a promise of comfort or a universal sizing cutoff.
- Case length, width and thickness: Compare all three in the same order and units.
- Weight: A lighter model may feel less substantial, though preference is personal.
- Band range: Check the exact reference and regional Casio listing. Compatibility does not guarantee an ideal fit.
- Shape and strap drop: Notice how the case sits and how the band angles down from it. Two watches with similar measurements can wear differently.
On-wrist photos can help you compare proportions, but wrist angle, camera distance and perspective can distort apparent size. Use them as a guide, not a sizing standard.
Octagonal analog-digital models: GMA-P2100, GMA-S2100 and GA-2100
Casio’s published specifications show that the GMA-P2100 and GMA-S2100 are smaller on paper than the standard GA-2100. The GMA-P2100 is the narrowest and lightest of these three. Dimensions below are case length × width × thickness; band ranges are manufacturer-listed compatibility ranges, not comfort thresholds.

| Model | Case dimensions (L × W × H) | Weight | Published band range |
|---|---|---|---|
| GMA-P2100 | 46 × 40.2 × 11.2 mm | 40 g | 145–190 mm |

These specifications are listed by Casio on its GMA-P2100 product page, GMA-S2100 product page and GA-2100 product page. The GMA-S2100 band range is from the cited regional Casio listing; check the listing for your market and precise reference, since regional pages can differ.
When the GMA-P2100 may suit your shortlist
If you want the octagonal analog-digital look in the smallest, lightest option among these three published comparisons, start by trying the GMA-P2100. Its listed band compatibility range is 145–190 mm. That range describes manufacturer compatibility, not a claim that every wrist within it will find the watch comfortable.

When to compare the GMA-S2100 or GA-2100
The GMA-S2100 is slightly wider and heavier than the GMA-P2100 in Casio’s figures, while its cited regional band range begins at a smaller circumference. The standard GA-2100 has the largest case and greatest weight among these three. These differences can help narrow a shortlist, but your preference for case coverage and feel is best judged on wrist.

If you prefer a square digital display rather than an octagonal analog-digital face, the standard DW-5600BCE-1 is a useful comparison point. Casio lists it at 48.9 × 42.8 × 13.4 mm and 57 g, with a compatible band range of 145–215 mm on the cited product listing: Casio DW-5600BCE-1 product page.

Casio catalog material describes the GMD-S5600 as a more compact 5600 form, making it a line worth investigating if you want a smaller square-style watch. The available line description does not establish measurements or weight for a particular current reference. Check the exact model’s current regional product page rather than assuming the whole line shares one set of dimensions. Casio G-SHOCK catalog
How to make a practical fit decision
- Choose the shape and display first. Decide whether you want an octagonal analog-digital model or a square digital one; they are distinct styles, not interchangeable size options.
- Compare the full specifications. For exact references, note case length × width × thickness, weight and the published band range. Use the table above as a starting comparison, then confirm the listing for your market.
- Check your wrist against the band range. Treat the manufacturer’s range as a compatibility check, not a guarantee of preferred tightness or comfort.
- Try the watch on when practical. Check whether the case spans your wrist as you like, whether it sits comfortably, and whether the band fastens at a suitable position.
- Use photos cautiously if you cannot try it. Compare images taken from similar angles and distances, and remember that a product photo cannot show exactly how the case and band will sit on your wrist.
What the measurements can—and cannot—tell you
Published specifications support a direct comparison of case size, weight and stated band compatibility for the named references. They do not establish a universal wrist circumference at which a G-Shock becomes too large, nor can they predict how a particular wearer will judge its appearance or feel. Treat size figures as a way to narrow choices, then make the final call based on the exact watch and how it sits on your wrist.
