Choose by reading each form’s live in-game ability description and matching its actual effects to your activity. First, make sure you can use the feature: a Destructoid guide published October 3, 2026, reports that Pet Transform requires an equipped regular pet at Insight level 3 and one Empathy Candy, and lasts five minutes per use.
How to choose a transform without a reliable tier list
The available guides do not provide a dependable current list comparing individual transform abilities or their performance by class or activity. Rather than relying on an unsupported “best pet for each class” ranking, check the ability text for the forms available to you and assess:

- Ability and range: What does the transform actually do, and how far away can it affect a target?
- Mobility: Does it help you move around in a way that matters for the activity you plan to do?
- Control or defense: Does its described effect help manage enemies or protect you?
- Activity fit: Will that effect help with the specific content you are playing?
- Cost and access: Can you obtain the form and afford to spend an Empathy Candy on a five-minute use?
These are comparison questions, not verified rankings. Use the current in-game descriptions as your basis; the reviewed sources do not establish which specific form performs best on those measures.

Do not conflate collectible pet transformations with a class’s combat summons. For example, the September 29, 2026 AION 2 Help Spiritmaster guide describes a ranged controller that directs elemental summons. That class overview does not show that any collectible pet transform has a special synergy with Spiritmaster. The collection guide also discusses monster transformation during combat, but does not compare those forms against class kits or establish a best option.
For any class, base your choice on the transform’s current in-game effects and your activity—not on an assumed class pairing. If a form’s description does not establish a relevant benefit, there is no sound basis in the available guides to call it optimal.
Reported requirements and Empathy Candy access
Destructoid’s October 3, 2026 guide reports this activation process and these launch-period details:
- Raise a regular pet’s Insight to level 3.
- Equip that pet.
- Use one Empathy Candy to activate Pet Transform; the guide reports a five-minute duration.
The same guide says special pets such as Black Dragon cannot use the mechanic. It reports Empathy Candy availability through the Shugo Festival Shop for 20 Centuryroot Tokens, festival-related achievements, and a launch celebration check-in reward. These are time-sensitive, secondary-source details, not guarantees of current availability: check the in-game event and shop interfaces before planning around a particular route.

Check the correct regional version
Pet systems may differ by region. The September 24, 2026 AION2 Guide pets overview attributes the broad description of pets following players, becoming rideable mounts, and potentially providing benefits such as auto-looting to the global teaser. It distinguishes detailed Korean and Taiwanese progression from mechanics confirmed for the global service. Do not assume regional pet slots, stats, acquisition rules, or progression apply to your version unless the current game confirms them.
When to reconsider your choice
Because the reported transformation is brief and consumes a candy, save it for an activity where the form’s described effect is useful to you.
