To check livestream ad revenue in YouTube Studio, open Analytics → Revenue, then use the Live content filter in the relevant revenue report. If Studio says revenue data is unavailable for Live alone, broaden the filter to Live and on demand or choose another report. YouTube’s reviewed help guidance does not establish that Studio can switch the report display to Indian rupees (INR), so a rupee display is not guaranteed.
Where to find livestream revenue in YouTube Studio
On a computer
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Select Analytics from the left-hand menu.
- Open the Revenue tab.
- For a livestream and live-replay ad-revenue breakdown, apply the Live filter in YouTube Analytics. YouTube describes this filter for reviewing livestream monetization data. YouTube Analytics revenue reports and monetizing live streams explain the reports and filter.
In the Android app
- Open the YouTube Studio app.
- Tap Analytics in the bottom menu.
- Tap Revenue in the top menu.
These revenue reports are intended for creators in the YouTube Partner Program. Menu labels or report availability can vary by account and app version.
If the Live filter shows no revenue data
YouTube’s guidance covers different report contexts: the livestream monetization instructions direct creators to the Live filter, while a live-metrics help page cautions that revenue reports may not be available with Live alone. If the report itself displays an unavailable-data message, follow its guidance and try Live and on demand, or select a different report. Widening the filter may include on-demand content, so do not interpret that result as live-only earnings. YouTube’s live metrics guidance

The official help guidance reviewed explains how to reach revenue reports and what the metrics mean, but does not document a setting to change the report’s displayed currency to INR. That leaves the currency-display behavior unresolved: do not assume that Studio can be switched to rupees or that it will show a rupee amount automatically. If your account displays another currency, check the current Studio and AdSense for YouTube views for your account, or consult YouTube’s current support guidance. YouTube Analytics revenue reports
Estimated ad revenue, total revenue, RPM and CPM are different
| Figure | What it describes | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated revenue | A broader Analytics estimate that can include revenue from multiple sources. | Use the revenue-source and content-format breakdowns to understand what contributes to the total. |
| Estimated ad revenue | Estimated revenue from ads on videos; YouTube identifies the revenue-sources report as the place to find it. | Use this when asking specifically how much ad revenue is attributed to content, rather than how much it earned from all sources. |
| RPM | A creator-focused measure after YouTube’s share, per 1,000 views or engaged views as specified in YouTube’s metric definitions. It may include ads, YouTube Premium, memberships, Super Chat and Super Stickers. | It is not an ad-only figure, so it does not answer the same question as estimated ad revenue. |
| CPM | An advertiser-focused cost per 1,000 ad impressions, before YouTube’s share. | It is not creator take-home revenue and should not be treated as interchangeable with RPM. |
When comparing figures, check four things: whether the scope is all revenue or ads only, whether the amount is an estimate or finalized, whether the metric is creator RPM or advertiser CPM, and whether the report includes live-only or live and on-demand content. YouTube’s revenue report definitions
Why the estimate can change and when finalized earnings appear
YouTube says revenue typically takes 2 days to appear in Analytics. Estimated revenue may later be adjusted for invalid traffic, copyright claims or disputes, and certain ad campaign types. YouTube’s published timing guidance describes an initial adjustment after 1 week and another in the middle of the following month. These are general timing guidelines, not a guarantee that every account or transaction follows an identical schedule. For finalized earnings, check AdSense for YouTube. YouTube says finalized earnings for the prior month are generally added to the balance between the 7th and 12th of the month. The final amount can differ from Analytics estimates, and applicable tax withholding is shown in AdSense for YouTube. What can earn money during a livestream
YouTube lists ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and channel memberships as potential livestream revenue sources for eligible creators. When monetization is enabled, pre-roll and display ads are automatically enabled under YouTube’s instructions; mid-roll ads can be automatic or inserted manually. An ad opportunity does not guarantee an ad will serve, so a view or available ad slot alone does not establish that the stream earned ad revenue. YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance
