A Samsung phone can have a cellular modem without exposing an AT-command interface to you or to a connected computer. To check support, identify the exact model and software build, look for evidence tied to that configuration, and—if checking USB access—see whether the computer detects a modem or serial interface. A generic 3GPP command list or a working USB file-transfer connection does not establish that your phone supports AT commands.
What “supports AT commands” means
3GPP TS 27.007 defines standardized AT-command families for User Equipment. That standard describes commands; it does not certify that a particular Samsung phone exposes them, implements a given command, or makes an AT interface available to its owner. Actual access depends on the phone model, variant, firmware, and interface.
Keep three separate questions in view: whether the phone contains a cellular modem, whether its software implements a particular command, and whether the phone exposes an interface through which you can send that command. Evidence for one does not prove the others.

- Open Settings > About phone. Record the full model number, not just the family name such as “Galaxy S.”
- Record the software or build information. Note the software version and, where shown, the build number. Also note the region or carrier variant if you know it; variants and software can differ within the same product family.
- Search for documentation for that exact configuration. Look for a Samsung document or device-specific service resource first. Treat a standards document as an explanation of command syntax, not as proof of Samsung compatibility. Treat community reports and tools as observations about the configurations they describe, not a guarantee for yours.
Check whether a computer detects an AT-capable interface
If your question is specifically about USB access, connect the phone to a computer with a data-capable cable that fits the handset, then inspect the computer’s detected USB interfaces using its normal device or hardware tools. Look for documentation or an observed modem or serial endpoint that is associated with the exact phone configuration.

- File transfer confirms a file-transfer function, not a modem or serial interface.
- USB debugging or an ADB connection is separate from cellular modem access.
- A cable that supports data allows the connection test; it cannot make the phone expose an interface that its firmware does not provide.
If there is no model-specific documentation and no modem or serial endpoint is detected, regard AT access as unconfirmed—not as supported. A detected interface is useful evidence of access, but it still does not prove that every command in a generic reference is implemented or safe to use.
How to weigh examples and command lists
Community reports describe USB AT access on selected configurations, including Galaxy S4 GT-I9192, Galaxy S8 G950F, and Galaxy S9 G965F. These are limited third-party observations, not a Samsung compatibility list. They do not establish support on other variants, different firmware, or current software.

Likewise, finding a command in 3GPP TS 27.007 only establishes that the command family is defined by the standard. It does not show that your particular phone implements the command or exposes a usable interface.
Use commands cautiously
Only send commands when the interface and the command are documented for your phone. If appropriate, begin with a non-mutating identification or status query. Avoid commands that change radio, SIM, network-selection, or other device state unless device-specific documentation establishes the need and explains the effect.

What to search for next
Use the full model number and, if available, the software or build version in searches such as “Samsung [full model number] modem AT interface USB.” “Does my Samsung phone support 3GPP AT commands?” and “How do I check whether my Galaxy has an AT port?” are useful general searches, but answers that omit model and firmware details may not apply to your phone.
No authoritative, current Samsung-wide compatibility matrix for retail Galaxy phones is established here. Without model-specific evidence, a definitive yes or no is not warranted.
