You can confirm eligibility only by checking the exact carrier offer and its terms against your purchase. A Samsung phone purchase does not, by itself, establish that a carrier will donate to charity. Check the carrier, country, offer name, purchase date and order details, then ask the carrier to verify the offer against your account if anything is unclear.
Start with your purchase record
Find the order confirmation, invoice, receipt or carrier account order. Note the details the offer is likely to use:
- Carrier and country
- Exact Samsung phone model
- Purchase date and, if different, activation date
- Where you bought the phone, such as the carrier’s store, website or another retailer
- Plan and account holder
- Any offer or campaign name shown on the order
If the record does not name a charity promotion, do not assume one applies. Locate the carrier promotion page or the terms linked from your confirmation.
Match the offer terms to your purchase
Read the carrier’s official terms and look for each of these conditions. A mismatch on any one of them may make the purchase ineligible.

- Eligible device: Does the offer include your exact model?
- Sales channel: Must the phone be bought directly from the carrier or a listed retailer?
- Dates: Was the purchase—and, if required, activation—within the stated window?
- Customer requirements: Does eligibility depend on a particular plan, account type, new-customer status or account holder?
- Required action: Must you register, submit a claim, activate the phone, opt in or use a tracked shopping link?
- Deadline and exclusions: Is there a claim deadline, and are particular purchases or customer types excluded?
- Donation details: Who receives the donation, who funds it, and when or how is it made?
Keep a copy of the terms that apply to your country and purchase date. If the offer page has changed, the terms attached to your order may be the most relevant version.
Identify what kind of donation program it is
Similar-sounding programs can work differently. Confirm whether a donation is triggered by a qualifying phone purchase or instead depends on a separate opt-in, a customer payment or a fundraising referral.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

| Program type | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Carrier-funded purchase promotion | That the carrier’s terms explicitly include your model, seller and purchase dates, plus any claim or activation requirements. |
| Customer-paid donation add-on | Whether you must opt in, how much is billed, how often it recurs and how to cancel. |
| Fundraising portal | Whether your location and retailer are supported and whether the purchase must be made through a tracked portal visit. Do not assume an earlier purchase will count. |
| Samsung recycling or trade-in | Whether the service is recycling or device credit rather than a charitable donation. |
For example, Vodafone Qatar’s official Easy Donations terms describe recurring donations for postpaid customers, activated through the My Vodafone app, a Vodafone store or customer care and billed as an add-on. They do not state that buying a Samsung phone triggers a donation. Those terms apply to that Qatar service; they should not be treated as rules for other Vodafone markets or carriers.

Do not confuse recycling, trade-in or shopping portals with a carrier offer
Samsung’s US Mobile Take-Back terms concern handset recycling. Samsung says it “does not represent that you are eligible for a charitable tax deduction as a result of using this service.” That statement is about the recycling service; it does not determine whether a separate carrier promotion exists.

Samsung trade-in is another distinct benefit: its trade-in help page explains eligible device trade-ins for credit toward qualifying Samsung purchases. Trade-in credit is not evidence of a charity donation.
easyfundraising’s Samsung page describes a separate route in which a shopper selects a cause and shops with Samsung through the portal or app, with the retailer making a donation on the shopper’s behalf. This does not establish that a carrier purchase qualifies or that a completed purchase can be credited retroactively. Check the portal’s location, retailer, tracking and transaction terms before relying on it.

Why exact dates and locations matter
Promotions can have narrow purchase, activation and claim windows, and the rules may differ by country. One Samsung Korea Galaxy S26 campaign, for instance, set a purchase and activation period of 8 June–5 July 2026 and an application deadline of 30 September 2026, subject to a delivery condition. Those dates belong only to that Samsung promotion—not to a carrier charity offer—and the deadlines had passed by 4 October 2026. The campaign illustrates why the terms for the precise offer, market and date matter; it cannot establish eligibility for an unrelated purchase.
