Check the minimum and recommended specifications separately, then match your Windows version, processor, memory, graphics card and VRAM, DirectX support, and free storage against the requirements that are listed. Meeting minimum specs makes the demo a reasonable candidate to try, not a guarantee of smooth performance.
Find the system requirements for the exact demo
Search for the game on Steam and confirm that you are looking at the demo’s listing or the associated game page—not a similarly named sequel or another edition. Scroll to System Requirements and note the minimum and recommended specifications separately. Bandai Namco says these details are available on the Steam store page and may also appear on the game’s official website (Bandai Namco support FAQ).
Requirements are title-specific. For example, the Steam listings for ELDEN RING and DARK SOULS III specify different hardware and storage needs. Those figures apply to those games, not to Soulslikes as a whole.
Check your PC’s hardware in Windows
Use Windows system information and DxDiag to identify the components you will compare. Capcom’s Steam troubleshooting guidance asks players to provide their CPU model, GPU model and VRAM, system memory, and Windows version; it also identifies DxDiag as a way to find graphics and VRAM details (Capcom: Troubleshooting for Steam games).

- Open Windows search and type System Information. Open the result and look for your Windows version, processor, and installed physical memory (RAM).
- Press Windows key + R, type dxdiag, then press Enter. Check the System tab for Windows and DirectX information.
- In DxDiag, open the Display tab to identify the graphics adapter and its displayed memory details. If more than one Display tab appears, inspect each adapter.
- Open File Explorer and check the free space on the drive where you would install the demo.
Write down full model names rather than broad descriptions such as “gaming PC” or “NVIDIA graphics.” A laptop or desktop with integrated and dedicated graphics may have more than one adapter; the game needs to use an adapter that can meet its requirement. Capcom notes that some dual-GPU systems may need GPU selection or configuration.
Compare every requirement line by line
Compare your PC with the demo’s published list, checking both tiers where available. Do not treat minimum and recommended as interchangeable.

- Operating system: Match the Windows version and any stated 64-bit requirement.
- Processor: Compare the CPU’s exact model with the listed model or a documented equivalent.
- Memory: Check installed RAM against the listed amount.
- Graphics: Compare the graphics-card model and VRAM. If the PC has multiple GPUs, establish which one the game will use.
- DirectX: Check the version stated in the game’s requirements against the version reported by DxDiag.
- Storage: Make sure the installation drive has at least the listed free space.
- Other listed requirements: Check any additional item on that game’s page, such as network requirements.
Different entries can set very different thresholds. The Steam ELDEN RING listing gives minimum requirements of 12 GB RAM and 60 GB storage, while the DARK SOULS III listing gives minimum requirements of 4 GB RAM and 25 GB storage. These are game-specific examples, not general recommendations for other demos.
Understand what minimum and recommended specs tell you
Minimum is the publisher’s stated baseline for the intended basic experience; recommended is the more comfortable target. Bandai Namco support says, “We cannot guarantee a game will work correctly if the minimum requirements are not met,” and suggests meeting recommended requirements for a better experience (Bandai Namco support FAQ).

Capcom’s support article, last updated July 22, 2026, warns that falling below minimum requirements may lead to poor frame rates or the game not running. It says players who meet minimum but not recommended specifications may want to lower graphics settings (Capcom: Troubleshooting for Steam games). Neither published tier predicts exact performance on an individual PC: hardware combinations and configuration can affect whether a game runs correctly.

- Your PC meets every minimum line: The demo is a reasonable candidate to try, but performance is not assured.
- Your PC meets minimum but misses recommended: It may run, and lower graphics settings may help, but the listing does not promise a particular frame rate or experience.
- Your PC falls short of a minimum or a key detail is unclear: Verify the component model and which GPU the game will use. Check title-specific support before assuming compatibility.
Do not infer compatibility from the genre, a “gaming” label, or one strong component. Judge the exact demo against all the requirements its publisher lists.
