Yes—a curved TV can be wall-mounted if the exact TV, bracket and wall are compatible. Curvature alone does not determine fit: check the TV’s model-specific mounting pattern, screw requirements and weight, then verify the bracket and wall can safely support it.
Check the TV’s exact mounting requirements
Find the full model number and consult its manual before buying a bracket or drilling. Record the TV’s weight without its stand, the mounting-hole pattern or any proprietary interface, the required screw diameter and the maximum screw depth. These specifications can vary between models—even TVs with matching hole spacing may differ in hole count or depth. Samsung directs owners to the model manual for spacing and bolt specifications, while Sony cautions that matching VESA spacing alone does not establish compatibility.
Use the TV manual as the authority for the TV-side connection. Do not assume another TV of the same screen size or brand uses the same screws or mounting dimensions.
Choose a bracket that fits the TV and the wall
Compare the bracket’s supported mounting pattern, weight capacity and screen-size range with the exact TV. Also check whether its design leaves enough clearance for the curved rear panel, required screws, ports and cables. Bracket documentation may say a mount supports flat or curved screens, but that broad description does not prove it fits your particular model.

- Wall compatibility: Confirm which wall materials and framing the bracket is designed for, and what fixings are required.
- Profile and access: Check that the TV can sit as intended without obstructing ventilation, ports or cable connections.
Follow both the TV and bracket instructions. Never substitute a guessed screw length, force a screw that does not fit, or use an anchor simply because it is available.
Assess the location and wall structure
Choose a position that is comfortable to watch and meets the TV manual’s clearance requirements. Samsung’s 2025 mounting guidance calls for at least 10 cm of clearance at the top, bottom and sides; check your own model’s instructions before applying that figure. Avoid locations exposed to unsuitable heat, direct sunlight, moisture or high humidity, and leave access for furniture, ventilation and cables.

Identify the wall construction and the correct anchoring method before drilling. A bracket intended for a particular wall type may require specific framing or masonry fixings. LG notes that wall type and installation environment can limit whether a TV can be mounted, and Sony says a wall may need reinforcement. If you cannot confidently establish the wall’s construction or load capacity, consult a qualified installer or contractor rather than relying on a generic drywall anchor.

Prepare before installation
Gather the hardware specified by the TV and bracket manuals, including the correct TV screws and any required spacers. Samsung’s preparation guidance lists a level, drill, pencil, stud finder, suitable wall hardware and a helper. The appropriate fixings and tools depend on the wall; a stud finder does not by itself establish that a chosen fixing is suitable.

Install the TV in the order specified by the manuals
- Mark the position. Use the bracket instructions to locate and mark the wall plate position, taking the chosen viewing height and required clearances into account.
- Attach the wall plate. Secure it with fixings appropriate to the wall and permitted by the bracket instructions. If the wall does not match the bracket’s requirements, stop and get advice before drilling.
- Attach the TV-side arms or plate. Use only the specified fasteners and spacers, respecting the TV’s screw-depth limit.
- Lift and secure the TV. Use enough help to control the set while attaching it. Follow the bracket’s locking or securing procedure rather than assuming the TV is engaged because it appears to hang in place.
- Check the installation and cables. Confirm the TV is secured as directed. Route cables without pulling on connectors or blocking ventilation; if anything does not align or seat correctly, do not force it.
Know when to use a professional
Wall mounting involves both a heavy screen and a load-bearing attachment. Samsung’s guidance warns that an incorrectly mounted TV may slide or fall, causing serious injury or damage, and recommends two people for mounting most TVs and four for sets 82 inches or larger. These are Samsung manufacturer recommendations, not a universal lifting standard.
LG recommends a professional technician because installation depends on expertise, wall type and environment. Sony likewise recommends qualified professional installation and says the wall and attachment mechanism need the strength specified in the exact model’s manual. Its support guidance cites four times the TV’s weight, or six times for some models, as model-specific requirements; do not apply either figure as a universal rule.
