To check whether an iQOO phone supports your carrier’s 5G bands, identify the phone’s exact regional model, compare its official 5G NR band list with the bands your carrier uses where you live, and then run the carrier’s IMEI or BYOD compatibility check. A matching band is useful evidence of radio compatibility, but it does not guarantee approval, coverage, or access to every service.
1. Identify the exact iQOO model and regional variant
Start with the model identifier, not just the product name. Look on the phone’s box, purchase record, device settings, or manufacturer support information. Two phones with similar names—or versions of the same phone sold in different regions—may have different radio-band support.
Open the official iQOO specification or comparison page for that particular variant. Use the model identifier and region to select the right listing; do not assume that a specification for another country applies to your handset.

2. Record the phone’s 5G NR bands and network modes
Find the complete 5G NR band list in the official specification and note each band identifier, such as n78. If the page separates support for standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G, record that too. Compare the mode supported by the carrier where it is documented; a band overlap alone does not establish that the phone supports the carrier’s required network mode.

iQOO’s India comparison page shows why checking the exact model column matters: some listed phones have n1/n3/n5/n8/n28B/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78, while another listed set also includes n48 and n66. These are examples from that India comparison, not a universal band list for every iQOO phone or regional variant. See iQOO’s official India phone comparison.
3. Find your carrier’s bands for your location
Use the carrier’s official network or BYOD information for the country and service area where you expect to use the phone. Compare the actual NR identifiers—for example, n78—with the phone’s official list. A carrier’s general statement that a device or network is “5G” does not tell you whether their bands overlap.

Network bands can differ by carrier and location. The Hong Kong communications regulator advises consumers to check that a handset supports the NR bands deployed by the service provider; its guidance is useful as a compatibility principle, not as a band list for carriers elsewhere. That list applies to Rogers, not to other carriers. See Rogers’ device compatibility and network frequency information.

4. Use the carrier’s IMEI or BYOD checker
After checking the bands, enter the phone’s IMEI in the carrier’s official compatibility checker, if available. This can identify eligibility or restrictions that a band comparison cannot. Follow the carrier’s instructions for finding the IMEI and check that you submit the identifier for the phone you intend to activate.
T-Mobile, for example, offers an IMEI compatibility check and cautions that it does not guarantee the operation or performance of non-T-Mobile devices. Its checker is a carrier-specific eligibility screen, not a promise of service everywhere. See T-Mobile’s device compatibility check.

- Capture stunning photos and videos with the 48MP triple rear camera system and 13MP front-facing camera.
- Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor for lightning-fast performance and 5G connectivity.
- 64GB of internal storage provides ample space for apps, photos, videos, and files (expandable via microSD card).
- Long-lasting 4,750mAh battery keeps you going all day on a single charge.
5. Check unlock status and essential calling features
Confirm that the phone is unlocked if you are bringing it from another carrier. Also ask your intended carrier whether VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling work on that exact model. Frequency support alone may not ensure that voice or other carrier services will be available: Rogers notes that VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling may not work on all devices even when frequencies match. Its guidance is specific to Rogers; confirm feature support with your own provider.
6. Interpret the result carefully
A band match means the phone and network share at least one listed 5G NR band. It does not, by itself, establish carrier approval, local coverage, support for every radio mode, or access to all network features. Actual operation can also depend on software and network infrastructure. iQOO states that “Actual network functionality is subject to carrier network availability, applicable law and regulation, infrastructure support and software version of the mobile phone.” See iQOO’s official network functionality caveat.

For a specific phone-and-carrier decision, evaluate the full set of factors together:
- The exact regional iQOO model and its official 5G NR bands.
- The carrier’s deployed bands in the places where you will use the phone.
- SA or NSA support, when the phone or carrier documentation distinguishes those modes.
- The carrier’s IMEI/BYOD result and the phone’s unlock status.
- Support for needed services such as VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling.
Example: checking an iQOO 13 listing
The official iQOO India store comparison listing identifies the iQOO 13 as a 5G handset and provides a model-specific band list. That can help you check the India-listed variant, but it does not establish compatibility with an unspecified carrier or an iQOO 13 version sold in another country. Compare the precise listing with your carrier’s bands and IMEI checker. See iQOO India’s iQOO 13 listing.
