You can’t determine Windows 11 support from the “AVITA Altum” name alone: the exact processor and configuration in your laptop matter. Run Microsoft’s PC Health Check, then confirm the reason for any failed requirement before deciding whether the laptop can be upgraded.
Check the exact Altum model and processor
Altum is a laptop family name, not enough information to confirm the hardware in your individual unit. Find the full model or product number on the device label or in Windows system information, and note the processor model. Avoid relying on a retailer listing or specifications for a different Altum configuration.
Microsoft says, “The processor in your PC will be a main determining factor for running Windows 11.” Check the exact CPU against Microsoft’s current processor compatibility information, rather than assuming that meeting the speed and core-count minimum is sufficient: Windows 11 specifications.

Run Microsoft’s compatibility check
- Download and open Microsoft’s PC Health Check app.
- Select the Windows 11 eligibility check and review the result for this PC.
- If the app reports that the laptop is eligible, use Windows Update to check for the upgrade. Microsoft recommends waiting until Windows Update offers it before proceeding. Back up important files before upgrading.
- If the app reports that the laptop is not eligible, note the specific reason and check the corresponding hardware or setting below.
Windows Update is another way Microsoft documents checking upgrade eligibility on Windows 10 devices. An eligibility result does not mean you should force an installation if Windows Update has not offered the upgrade.

Understand the Windows 11 requirements
Microsoft’s baseline requirements include all of the following; passing most of them is not enough if another requirement fails:
- A compatible 64-bit processor with at least two cores and a speed of 1 GHz or higher.
- At least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
- UEFI firmware with Secure Boot capability, and TPM version 2.0.
- DirectX 12-compatible graphics with a WDDM 2.0 driver.
- A display larger than 9 inches, with HD resolution of at least 720p.

What to do if PC Health Check says no
Processor not supported
Check the exact processor model against Microsoft’s supported processor information. A CPU can meet the minimum clock speed and core count and still fail Microsoft’s compatibility check. Changing a firmware setting cannot make an unsupported processor eligible.

Verify the exact laptop model’s firmware documentation and available BIOS/UEFI options before changing settings. Do not assume a feature is absent just because it is disabled, but do not change firmware settings without confirming they apply to your device.

Memory, storage, graphics, or display issue
Compare the reported failure with the laptop’s actual RAM, available storage, graphics hardware and driver, and display size and resolution. The full requirement list is on Microsoft’s Windows 11 specifications page.

There is no verified, authoritative Altum-wide specification list here that establishes the processor, memory, storage, TPM support, firmware options, or Windows 11 status for every configuration. That means the family name alone cannot settle whether your particular laptop qualifies. Use PC Health Check and the exact model and CPU to reach a device-specific answer.

Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. If your laptop is ineligible for Windows 11, consider an operating system that remains supported or a replacement device that meets your needs. Treat unsupported installation workarounds as a risk, not as the normal upgrade path.
