On a Nokia phone, check Settings > Battery (or search Settings for “Battery”) to see which apps and system activity used charge. That screen shows battery usage, not necessarily the battery’s remaining capacity or condition. For a health readout, HMD’s My Device app advertises battery-health information and diagnostics, but the feature may not be available on every model.
Check which apps are using battery

Open Settings. If you cannot find the battery menu, tap Settings search and enter Battery.

Open Battery, then look for Battery usage or a similarly named option. On many Android versions the path is Settings > Battery > Battery usage, but Nokia menu labels and paths vary by model and Android version.

Review the usage chart or list for the period shown. If an app appears to be using more charge than expected, open its entry for any available details or background-activity controls.

This screen reports charge consumption over a displayed period. It does not, by itself, establish how much capacity the battery can still hold or its overall condition.
Check whether your Nokia shows battery health
HMD’s official My Device app on Google Play lists battery-health viewing and device diagnostics for Nokia and HMD Android phones and tablets. Open or install the app and check whether your phone offers a battery-health or diagnostics section. HMD’s listing describes the capability, but does not confirm that it is supported on every Nokia model or software version.
Do not treat the ordinary battery percentage—the amount of charge currently remaining—as a battery-health percentage. A health reading is useful only if the device or app actually provides one.

Battery usage and battery health answer different questions

If your Nokia battery seems to drain quickly
Fast drain is a clue to investigate, not proof that the battery is worn out. Start with the usage list and check whether a particular app or system activity accounts for the change. If the problem began recently, consider recent app or system updates and background activity. Google’s general Android battery advice notes that device-specific steps can vary; keeping a phone cool matters because heat can increase battery drain.

Review high-use apps and use any background controls shown in that app’s battery details.

Avoid leaving the phone in hot conditions. Google does not recommend repeatedly draining a battery from full to empty as a way to “teach” it its capacity.

When to contact HMD
If My Device is unavailable, does not show a health section, or the battery concern persists, use the guide or support route for your exact model. HMD support provides battery and charging help, along with contact and care-center routes for HMD- and Nokia-branded devices manufactured by HMD. Support and repair options depend on region, device, and service eligibility. Confirm the repair need for your model before arranging a battery replacement.
