You can make an Outlook calendar week start on Monday—or another day—but the setting is in a different place depending on whether you use new Outlook for Windows, classic Outlook for Windows, or Outlook on the web. Choose the instructions for your version below.
Change the first day in new Outlook for Windows

Select Calendar.

On the View tab, select Calendar settings.

Under Calendar appearance, open Show the first day of the week as and choose the day you want.

Select Save.
The selected day appears first in Week view. These steps are Microsoft’s published instructions for new Outlook for Windows. If the menus do not match, use the classic Outlook instructions instead.

Select Calendar.

Go to File > Options > Calendar.

Under Work Time, select the day you want in First day of week.

Confirm the change using the dialog’s controls.
Microsoft’s calendar guidance covers Microsoft 365, Outlook 2024, and Outlook 2021; its version-specific calendar view guidance also covers Outlook 2019 and Outlook 2016.

Open Calendar.

Select Settings.

In the Settings pane, change the first-day preference to the day you want.

For older Outlook Web App on Exchange Server 2013 or 2010, the setting is under Options > Calendar in the First day of the week list. That legacy route is not for Microsoft 365 or Exchange Server 2016/2019. In the legacy app, language and locale affect the preference; Sunday is the stated default for U.S. English, not a universal Outlook default.
First day of the week is not the same as work-week days
The first-day setting controls which day appears first in Week view. The separate work-week setting controls which days appear in Work Week view. Changing one does not mean you have changed the other.

Week numbering uses a separate setting
The first-week-of-the-year preference determines how Outlook assigns week numbers when they are displayed; it does not choose the first day shown in a calendar week. Outlook on the web offers conventions such as first day of the year, first four-day week, or first full week.

Mac and mobile instructions
The Microsoft guidance referenced here establishes procedures for Windows and web clients, not Outlook for Mac or Outlook for iOS and Android. The Windows menu paths above should not be assumed to apply to those apps.
