In Samsung Wallet in India, open UPI and look for Add/Link/Manage Bank Account to review linked bank accounts. Samsung confirms that this menu supports linking multiple accounts, but its published guide does not document the exact steps to unlink an account or change a UPI ID. The action you need depends on whether you want to use a different linked account for a payment, unlink a bank account, or delete your UPI setup.
First identify what you want to change
- Use a different bank account for a payment: Samsung says multiple bank accounts can be linked to a UPI VPA and selected for a transaction. This changes which linked account you use; it is not the same as removing an account.
- Unlink one bank account: This removes that bank account from the UPI setup in Wallet. Samsung’s India guide does not give a verified tap-by-tap unlink procedure.
- Delete or deregister the UPI account: This is broader than changing the selected payment account. Samsung says deleting a UPI account from Samsung Pay removes user information, including transaction information, from Samsung’s servers; it does not say this erases bank statements or records held elsewhere.
These distinctions matter because Samsung’s documentation confirms linked-account management and account selection, but does not establish that selecting another account unlinks the first one. Samsung India’s UPI guide
How to review linked accounts in Samsung Wallet
- Open Samsung Wallet.
- Select UPI.
- Open Add/Link/Manage Bank Account.
- Select the relevant linked account and inspect the controls and confirmation prompts currently shown in your app. Follow an option only if its wording matches the action you intend to take.
Samsung’s public guide identifies this menu for linking more than one bank account to a UPI VPA. It does not publish the exact sequence for removing a linked account or changing a UPI ID, so the controls may depend on the current app version or account setup. If you cannot find a remove or change option
Contact Samsung India support to ask how your current Wallet version handles the action. For bank-side UPI registration or verification issues, contact the bank or payment service provider (PSP) associated with the account. Samsung India lists chat and phone support, but its published materials do not identify a dedicated UPI support channel.

What happens if you change your SIM or delete UPI
After a SIM change
Samsung says a SIM change requires UPI re-registration and adding the bank accounts again. The mobile number used for UPI setup must match the number registered with the selected bank account. When deleting the UPI account
Samsung’s service description says information associated with deregistering a mobile wallet or deleting a UPI account from Samsung Pay—including transaction information—is deleted from Samsung’s servers. That statement is limited to Samsung’s servers; it does not establish deletion of records maintained by your bank or other entities. Samsung Pay service description
