To change audio output or volume on an LG 34-inch monitor, first identify its exact model: LG sells several 34-inch models, and their audio ports, on-screen display (OSD) menus, and controls differ. Find the model number on the rear label or in the product documentation, then follow that model’s manual. The steps below show what to look for and give model-specific examples—not a universal menu sequence.
Identify your LG monitor model first
“LG 34-inch monitor” describes a screen size, not a single model. LG support lists separate manuals for models including the 34UM58-P.AUS, 34U530A-W.AUS, and 34WP500-B.AUS. Check the label on the back of your monitor or its product documentation, and open the matching manual before changing settings.
Pay attention to the manual’s control description and menu names. A joystick-based control and a menu called “Sound” appear in some model instructions, but you should not assume your monitor uses the same labels or options.

How do I change audio output and volume settings on an LG 34-inch monitor?
Use the monitor’s physical control to open its OSD, then look for audio or sound settings in the model-specific menu. If your monitor has a joystick button, it may open the OSD when pressed; the exact navigation and available choices depend on the model.

Adjust volume on the 34UM64-P
The 34UM64-P manual describes one joystick-based example. With the main menu disabled, move the joystick left or right to adjust volume. In the OSD, volume is under Easy control > Volume; moving the joystick down in that menu toggles mute or unmute. Treat these directions as specific to the 34UM64-P: other LG 34-inch monitors may use different controls or menu paths. The manual also notes that the OSD may differ slightly from its illustrations. Select an audio output on the 34UB67-B
The 34UB67-B manual shows a Sound > Sound Out menu with HDMI1, HDMI2, DP, and Audio-In choices. These are the options documented for that model; they are not guaranteed to appear on another LG 34-inch monitor. See the 34UB67-B manual.

Choose an output that matches your connection and equipment
Check both the signal connection and the monitor’s physical audio ports before choosing an output. An OSD option is useful only if it matches the source connection and audio destination you intend to use. The available routes vary by model; the examples below describe documented options, not a list of features shared by every LG 34-inch monitor.

If the audio option or volume control is missing
- Recheck the model number on the rear label or in the product documentation, then use that model’s manual rather than borrowing another monitor’s menu steps.
- Confirm which input connection is in use and compare it with the output choices shown in the manual.
- Check whether the model has the headphone output, speakers, or other audio connections you plan to use; do not infer their presence from the 34-inch screen size.
- If the OSD labels or illustrations do not match your screen, follow the manual for your exact model. Even the 34UM64-P manual says its OSD may differ slightly from the illustrations.
If you are comparing output routes, verify three things in the manual: the source connection, the audio destination, and whether the OSD supports volume control for that route. The documented choices for another model are not evidence that your monitor supports them.
