For a GST Portal page that is publicly accessible without signing in, ScreenshotMachine’s Website to PDF API can convert the page URL into a PDF. You need a ScreenshotMachine customer key. Its documentation does not establish that it can complete GST Portal sign-in, CAPTCHA, or OTP checks, so do not treat cookie support as proof that private pages can be captured.
Capture a public GST Portal page with ScreenshotMachine
First check that the page opens without a GST Portal login. ScreenshotMachine documents a GET-based Website to PDF API that accepts a URL and requires a customer key. See the ScreenshotMachine Website to PDF API documentation for the endpoint and supported parameters.
- Open the target GST Portal page in a browser where you are not signed in. If it requires authentication, use the authenticated-browser approach described below instead.
- Choose a paper size and orientation. A4 is one of the documented options; portrait or landscape depends on the page layout and what must remain readable.
- Choose

- Open the returned PDF and check that the content is complete and legible before storing or sharing it.
When to use a delay
The API documents a delay before conversion. Use it when a public page has animation or content that appears late. A delay only gives rendering more time; it is not a way to pass a login, CAPTCHA, OTP, or other access restriction.

The GST Portal login manual describes CAPTCHA entry and, in specified circumstances such as first login or a new device, an additional authentication round using an OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email. Those steps happen within the portal’s authentication flow. ScreenshotMachine’s reviewed PDF documentation does not describe a GST-specific login procedure or verify that it can capture pages behind that flow.

ScreenshotMachine’s separate screenshot API documentation lists cookie input, click and hide selectors, and an accept-language option. These controls may affect supported page captures, but their existence does not show that the GST Portal’s authentication checks can be completed or that a private page will be accessible. Do not send GST credentials or session cookies to a third party on the assumption that they will work.
For a page available only after sign-in, capture or print it from a browser session that you or an authorized representative can use, subject to portal rules and your organization’s handling requirements for tax records. Review the resulting file for sensitive information before storing or sharing it.

GST Portal complaint evidence and PDFs
The GST Self Service Portal says users may submit page screenshots when explaining portal complaints. That guidance does not specify ScreenshotMachine, establish that a PDF generated by it will be accepted, or confirm that a PDF is an acceptable substitute for the requested screenshot. Follow the instructions for the specific complaint or support request.
Troubleshooting
- The API does not return a PDF: Check that the target URL and required customer key are supplied as specified in ScreenshotMachine’s Website to PDF API documentation. The reviewed documentation establishes those requirements but does not provide GST-specific error handling.
- The PDF shows a login screen or CAPTCHA: The target is not publicly accessible to the capture request. A longer delay does not perform authentication; use an authorized authenticated-browser method instead.
- Some content is missing: Confirm that the page is publicly available, allow a suitable documented delay if content renders late, and compare screen and print media. Inspect the PDF itself rather than assuming the API has captured every interactive or late-loaded element.
- The page is difficult to read: Try landscape instead of portrait, or choose a different documented paper size. Check the final PDF at normal viewing size.
- You need proof for a support request: Check the instructions on the specific GST Portal support or complaint flow; ScreenshotMachine-specific PDF acceptance is not established by the available official guidance.
