To record a Pepperfry product price, open the exact listing, select the relevant variant and delivery location, and capture the page with its product name and displayed price visible. Save the screenshot with the product URL and capture time. A screenshot preserves one page state; it does not, by itself, monitor price changes.
What to capture for a useful price record
Before taking the screenshot, make sure the page shows the details needed to interpret the price later:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
Pepperfry - Furniture Store | Buy on Amazon |
- The product name and exact product page.
- The selected size, color, finish, or other variant, if the listing offers choices.
- The displayed price and any discount shown alongside it.
- The delivery location or other location context, when it affects what is displayed.
If some of that context is not visible in the image, record it in a note alongside the capture. Include the exact URL and capture time; a descriptive filename can help, for example pepperfry-product-2026-10-03-1430.png.
Capture a Pepperfry page manually
- Open the exact Pepperfry product page in your browser.
- Select the variant and enter or confirm the relevant delivery location, if applicable.
- Wait until the product details and displayed price have loaded. Position the page so product identity and price appear together, if possible.
- Use your browser or operating system’s screenshot function to capture the visible page. Save the image with a descriptive name.
- Store the exact page URL, capture time, selected variant, and location context with the image if they are not clear in the screenshot.
For a one-off comparison or a small number of products, this is usually the simplest approach. A screenshot makes a visual record, but you will need to take another capture later to compare what changed.

Capture content below the fold
If the price or relevant context is lower on the page, scroll and take additional viewport screenshots, or use a full-page capture. A full-page image can be long and may make small text harder to inspect. Prefer a viewport screenshot when the product name, selected variant, and price fit together clearly; use multiple images when they do not.
Automate repeatable screenshots with Playwright
Playwright can save a screenshot of a page, capture the full scrollable page with fullPage, or capture a specific element through a locator. Its documentation describes these options in the screenshots guide and the Page API.
For a basic repeatable capture, install Playwright in a Node.js project with npm install playwright, then save this as capture-pepperfry.js:
const { chromium } = require('playwright');
(async () => {
const url = process.argv[2];
if (!url) throw new Error('Pass a Pepperfry product URL as the first argument');
const browser = await chromium.launch({ headless: true });
const page = await browser.newPage({ viewport: { width: 1440, height: 1000 } });
try {
await page.goto(url, { waitUntil: 'domcontentloaded', timeout: 60000 });
await page.screenshot({ path: 'pepperfry-product.png', fullPage: true });
console.log(`Captured ${url} at ${new Date().toISOString()}`);
} finally {
await browser.close();
}
})();
Run it with the product URL in quotes:
node capture-pepperfry.js 'https://www.pepperfry.com/product/example.html'
Replace the example URL with the exact product link. The script saves one image and prints a UTC timestamp; keep the URL and timestamp with the file. The product URL must be accessible to the browser session for the capture to be useful. If the page requires interaction to display the correct variant or delivery context, handle that in your own workflow and verify the result in the screenshot rather than assuming the default state is comparable.
Capture only the product details
When you know a stable CSS selector for the product section, use a locator screenshot instead of a full-page capture:
await page.locator('YOUR_PRODUCT_SECTION_SELECTOR').screenshot({ path: 'pepperfry-product-details.png' });
Replace the selector with one that matches the relevant product details on the page. This can produce a smaller, easier-to-review image, but it will omit details outside that element.
Keep repeated captures comparable
Use the same product URL, viewport, capture method, variant, and delivery location each time. Store each image with its timestamp rather than overwriting the previous capture. If a later screenshot differs, the saved context helps distinguish a real price change from a different variant, location, or page state.

| Approach | Best fit | What it records | Considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manual browser capture | A few products or occasional checks | A visual snapshot of the displayed page | Easy to start; repeat captures and timestamping are manual. |
| Playwright screenshots | Repeatable captures of a known set of URLs | Page, full-page, or selected-element images | Requires setup and maintenance; verify the intended variant and location are represented. |
| Commercial monitoring or scraping service | Recurring collection across many listings, especially when structured fields are needed | May include product and price fields, depending on the service | Bright Data markets Pepperfry-specific price tracking and scraping, including collection of fields such as price, discount, dimensions, ratings, and delivery estimates. Those are vendor descriptions, not independent accuracy tests. Check current capabilities, pricing, geographic behavior, and applicable Pepperfry requirements before relying on a service: Pepperfry Price Tracker and Pepperfry Scraper. |
For visual evidence, screenshots are useful. If you need a searchable price history or structured records across many products, a screenshot-only workflow may not be enough; plan for scheduled captures or a suitable tracking workflow. Do not assume that automated collection is permitted for every use: the sources cited here do not establish blanket permission for third-party automated access.
Why the screenshot is only a time-specific record
Pepperfry’s E-Commerce Services Agreement describes sale prices as dynamic and volatile and says merchants may revise them before purchase. Treat your image as evidence of what appeared on the page at its capture time, not as a guaranteed future price or a price that applies to every variant or delivery location.

ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot or PDF with one GET request. Its capture flow accepts cookie or consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server offers screenshot tools for AI agents, and the service includes 1,000 screenshots a month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
For a product listing, use the exact Pepperfry URL you want to record. This cURL example saves a WebP image; consult the ScreenshotNeo documentation for request options and response details:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://www.pepperfry.com/product/example.html -o shot.webp
Replace the example URL with the exact listing and supply your API key. As with a browser screenshot, keep the capture time, selected variant, and delivery-location context with the image when they matter to the comparison. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.
Troubleshooting
- The screenshot shows the wrong price or variant: confirm the exact product URL, selected variant, and delivery location before capturing; record those choices alongside the image.
- The price is not visible: wait for the product page to load, then scroll or use a full-page capture. If a full-page image is difficult to read, capture the relevant viewport separately.
- The capture looks different from the previous one: compare the URL, variant, location, viewport, and capture time before concluding that the displayed price changed.
- Playwright reports a navigation timeout: the page may not have reached the chosen navigation condition within the timeout. Check connectivity and the URL, and avoid treating an incomplete or failed load as a valid price record.
- A repeated script run overwrites an earlier image: use a timestamped output filename or move each capture into a dated folder so the history is retained.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does one screenshot show whether Pepperfry’s price changed?
No. It records one visible page state. Compare it with a separately timestamped capture to identify a change.
Should I use a full-page screenshot for every product?
No. Use one only when relevant price context is below the fold; a focused viewport or element capture can be easier to review.
