To capture a useful Google Search screenshot for Hindi keywords in Delhi, select Hindi under preferred results languages, set the results region to India, and include “Delhi” in queries where the search is local. Then save the visible results along with a note of the query, date and time, browser and device, sign-in state, selected settings, and any location Google displays. These steps document one search under stated conditions; they do not guarantee the exact results another Delhi searcher will see.

Set Hindi as a preferred results language and India as the region

  1. Open Google Search Settings. On a computer, Google’s documented route is to open Search settings, choose preferences, and save them. The page has separate controls for display language, preferred results languages, and results region; exact controls can vary by device, account, locale, or interface version. See Google’s computer settings instructions.
  2. Under preferred results languages, select Hindi and save the preference. This is distinct from the display-language control. Display language changes buttons and other interface text; it does not make every result or every part of the page Hindi. Google says the results-language controls help determine what language to show, but do not filter all results to that language (Google’s explanation).
  3. Set the results region to India and save. This is a country-level setting, not a precise Delhi location setting. For a query whose intent is local, include “Delhi” in the search terms as well.

Google can use several signals to estimate location, and location can help determine language and local relevance. The India region setting does not recreate a specific person’s Delhi search conditions or guarantee a city-precise result set. Google’s location guidance describes the role of location, but does not establish a general-purpose method for reproducing every local searcher’s results (Google location help as surfaced here).

Run the exact keyword query

Enter the Hindi keyword exactly as you want to document it. When local intent matters, add “Delhi” to the query rather than assuming the India region setting alone makes it Delhi-specific. Keep the query visible in the capture.

If comparing a Devanagari spelling with a Roman-script Hindi version, run and capture them as separate searches. Label each with its exact query; do not assume that Google will treat a particular transliteration in a particular way.

Google also describes multilingual search as using signals to serve results across languages, so changing language settings for every search is not necessarily required to see results in different languages (Google Search Central). That does not mean any one screenshot establishes a universal ranking.

Record the conditions and capture the page

Before saving the screenshot, record these details in a caption, filename, or accompanying note. This is a practical recordkeeping recommendation, not a Google-mandated evidence standard.

  • Exact query, including whether it uses Devanagari or Roman script.
  • Date and time of the search.
  • Browser and device used.
  • Whether you were signed in to Google.
  • Selected preferred results language and results region.
  • Any location Google reports on the results page, if visible.

Capture the query and the relevant visible results. If the settings themselves matter to your claim, save a separate screenshot of Search Settings; a results-page image alone does not prove which settings were selected. Avoid cropping or editing away context that is material to what the screenshot is meant to show.

Search customization may also affect results: Google’s Search Settings describes using searches from the browser for relevant results and recommendations (Search Settings). A signed-out, private, or otherwise altered session is not established as a perfectly neutral baseline. Treat the image as a dated observation under the conditions you recorded, not proof that all Delhi users see identical results.

For an API-based capture, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL in one GET request and can return a screenshot or PDF. The Google settings and query still determine what the page shows; the API does not make Google’s results universal or simulate every Delhi user. ScreenshotNeo’s clean-shot flow accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, with verdict and billing information in response headers. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude and Cursor. The free plan includes 1,000 shots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. See ScreenshotNeo and the API documentation.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://www.google.com/search?q=Delhi -o shot.webp

Replace the URL’s query with the exact search URL you want to capture, and provide your API key. This request demonstrates a screenshot capture; it does not configure Google’s preferred results language or region for you. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.

Troubleshooting

  • The interface is Hindi but results are mixed-language: Display language controls interface text, not a strict language filter. Check preferred results languages separately, while recognizing that Google does not promise every result will be Hindi.
  • Results look India-wide rather than Delhi-specific: India is a country-level region choice. Add “Delhi” to a locally intended query and note any location shown by Google; do not describe the setting as a precise Delhi simulation.
  • The settings page or labels differ: Controls can vary by device, account, locale, or interface version. Use Search Settings and look for the separate display-language, preferred-results-language, and results-region controls; Google’s linked instructions describe the computer flow.
  • You cannot tell what settings produced an old screenshot: A results image does not prove the settings used. Capture the settings separately and record the conditions with future screenshots.
  • A different session shows different results: Personalization, location signals, language settings, and other context can influence what appears. Record the session conditions and present screenshots as observations, not universal rankings.
