Use Selenium to open the university’s official results page, wait until the relevant result content is visible, and then save a PNG with Python’s save_screenshot(). The method captures the current browser window—not automatically the entire document—so choose a full-page method if the result extends below the viewport. Because no specific university or portal is named here, you must supply its authorized URL and replace the example selector with one that matches the page.
Capture a results page with Selenium Python
Install Selenium and have a compatible browser and WebDriver available. The example uses Chrome. It waits for a visible result element before capturing, so navigation returning is not mistaken for proof that a JavaScript-rendered result is ready.

Choose a wait condition that means the result is ready
A WebDriver navigation call waits according to its configured page-load strategy. The default “normal” strategy waits for a complete document readiness state; “eager” waits for the interactive state, and “none” does not wait for document readiness. None of these guarantees that a page’s later JavaScript updates have rendered the result. Selenium’s guidance recommends waiting for the condition your script actually needs.

Wait for visible result content
Use WebDriverWait with an expected condition such as visibility_of_element_located for a result table or heading. Selenium also provides conditions for element presence and visible text. Presence alone means the element exists in the DOM; it may still be hidden, which makes visibility the more useful condition when the goal is an on-screen screenshot.
Depending on the portal, a suitable target might be a visible result panel, a known result heading, or a “results published” status message. These are examples, not selectors or messages guaranteed to exist on any particular institution’s site.
Set realistic timeouts and use one wait style
The example gives page navigation 30 seconds and the result condition 20 seconds. Adjust both for the portal and your environment. Avoid mixing implicit and explicit waits: Selenium warns that doing so can produce unpredictable total wait times. If the explicit wait expires, treat that as a signal to inspect the page and locator rather than capturing an arbitrary loading state.

What save_screenshot() captures
Selenium’s Python WebDriver API documents save_screenshot(filename) as saving the current window to a PNG file. Use a filename ending in .png. The method returns False if an I/O error prevents saving; the example turns that result into an error instead of silently continuing.
A current-window screenshot can omit rows or other content below the visible area. For a long result table, check the saved image for clipped columns or missing rows. If you need a full-document image, the current Python Firefox WebDriver API has separate methods, save_full_page_screenshot() and get_full_page_screenshot_as_png(). Those are Firefox API methods; do not assume equivalent full-page support from every browser driver.
Visible or headless browser?
A visible browser is convenient while discovering the correct result selector and checking what the page displays. Selenium’s screenshot guide also documents a headless Chrome example for non-interactive use. Headless mode does not make a particular portal’s behavior predictable: the page’s dynamic state and the configured viewport still determine what appears in the capture.

If layout matters, configure a deliberate window size and inspect whether the important columns fit. Before relying on the file, open it and check that it shows the result rather than a loading overlay, error page, or clipped table.
Use an authorized portal and handle the image carefully
Use the university’s official results page and follow its access terms. The portal is unspecified, so its URL, page structure, selectors, authentication requirements, publication state, and access rules must be checked with that institution. This workflow is not a method for evading a portal’s controls.
Results pages may display personal information. Keep the screenshot private, redact identifiers before sharing it, and follow the institution’s rules. This is prudent handling advice, not a statement about a particular legal requirement.
