First choose which Patreon audience view the screenshot should show, then capture the visible page with your computer’s built-in screenshot shortcut. A logged-in view is not automatically the same as what the public sees: creator previews can offer Public, Free member, or Paid member views, along with Computer or App perspectives.
Choose the Patreon view you want to capture
If you are the creator, open your creator-page preview or page-controls menu and select the audience view that matches your purpose. Patreon’s preview guidance describes Public, Free member, and Paid member views, plus Computer and App perspectives. The controls available can vary with the creator-page experience and setup, so look for the preview or page-controls menu in your interface rather than relying on a fixed button location. To inspect the public-facing page, use the preview’s Public view or the page-controls option Patreon describes as “View page.” If you need to show what a member sees, choose the relevant free- or paid-member preview instead. A screenshot records only the view currently on screen.

Prepare the page and protect private details
- Navigate to the relevant audience and device perspective.
- Scroll to the section you need, and close menus or dialogs that obscure it.
- Choose a selected-area capture when you want to exclude unrelated browser or account details.
- Before sharing, inspect the saved image for personal information or material intended only for members. A screenshot does not change Patreon’s privacy settings; membership and activity visibility are managed separately. See Patreon’s visibility settings.
Take the screenshot on Windows 10 or 11
- Press Windows logo key + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool capture overlay.
- Select the screen area containing the Patreon page. Use the desired region rather than the full screen if you want to omit browser tabs or account details.
- Open the capture in Snipping Tool to review, edit, save, or share it.

Take the screenshot on a Mac
- Selected area: Press Shift-Command-4, then drag over the Patreon content.
- Screenshot options: Press Shift-Command-5 to open the screenshot controls.
- Entire screen: Press Shift-Command-3.
Screenshots normally save to the desktop unless you change the destination in Screenshot options. Apple also documents capturing a window or a selected portion of the display in its Mac screenshot guide.

- The image shows the wrong audience: Return to the creator preview and select Public, Free member, or Paid member before capturing.
- The image includes browser chrome or personal details: Capture a selected area instead of the entire screen, then review the saved image before sharing.
- Menus cover the content: Close them and reposition the page before taking another capture.
