After you sign in to the GST Portal and open the page you need, use your computer’s built-in screenshot shortcut: press Windows+Shift+S on Windows 10 or 11, or Shift-Command-4 on a Mac to select an area. Review the image for personal or financial information before sharing it.
Sign in and open the page you need
Use the GST Portal’s Login option, enter the requested account details and captcha, and submit. If the portal requests an OTP, complete that step; the portal manual notes that OTP prompts can depend on circumstances, including whether the browser or device has previously been authenticated. After successful login, open the precise page you want to capture.

There is no GST-specific screenshot shortcut described in the manual. Capture the page using your operating system’s screen capture utility.

- Bring the relevant GST Portal page into view.
- Press Windows logo key+Shift+S to open the Snipping Tool capture overlay.
- Select the area you need, such as a rectangle around the relevant page content.
- Open the resulting snip, check that it shows the needed information, and save it.
Windows also supports full-screen and window capture options. See Microsoft’s Snipping Tool instructions for the available capture modes.

Capture the page on a Mac
- Bring the relevant GST Portal page into view.
- Press Shift-Command-4, then drag over the area to capture.
- Find the screenshot on the desktop by default and review it before sharing.
For a full-screen capture, press Shift-Command-3. Press Shift-Command-5 to open the Screenshot app and access additional capture controls. See Apple’s Mac screenshot guidance.
Check privacy and choose the right evidence
An authenticated tax portal may display identifying or financial details. Before sending or posting a screenshot, inspect the whole image, include only the information needed for its purpose, and redact unrelated sensitive details.

A screenshot records what was visible on screen; it should not be treated as an official filing, certificate, or proof of submission. If you need a formal document, look for the relevant download or print workflow on the portal. The exact steps depend on the page or document.

For an ordinary GST page visible after login, your computer’s built-in capture tool is the simplest choice.
