PageCrawl.io says its Screenshots feature can capture and store full-page screenshots. To use it for an Indian government website, open or add the page in PageCrawl, use the current interface to run a capture, and save the result if an export or download option is available. PageCrawl’s public information confirms the capability but does not document a verified click-by-click workflow, so exact button names and export options may vary.
What a full-page screenshot captures
A viewport screenshot records only the part of a page visible in the browser window. A full-page screenshot is intended to show the page from top to bottom in one image. It is a visual record of what the browser rendered at a particular time, not proof that hidden, interactive, or below-the-fold content was captured.
PageCrawl describes its feature as capturing and storing full-page screenshots for review. It also says the service uses a JavaScript-enabled real browser and supports page actions. Those capabilities may help with dynamically rendered pages, but they do not guarantee a successful capture of every government site. PageCrawl’s product page
Capture a government page with PageCrawl
PageCrawl’s published product information does not establish a specific current UI path, account prerequisite, or export format. Use the following as a workflow checklist, not as a claim about exact button labels; check PageCrawl’s current interface and help information for the controls available to your account.

- Confirm the target URL. Use the full address of the intended government page. India’s Guidelines for Indian Government Websites and Apps (GIGW) identify gov.in and nic.in as government website domains, but a domain suffix alone is not a complete authentication check. GIGW 3.0
- Open or add the page in PageCrawl. If the service requires a monitored page or configuration before it can capture a screenshot, follow the current setup flow shown in your account.
- Review capture and rendering controls. If PageCrawl exposes settings or page actions, configure only what the target requires, such as waiting for rendering or interacting with a page element. Do not assume a particular setting is available or that it will bypass a CAPTCHA, access restriction, or other control.
- Run a check or capture. Wait for the result and inspect the image from top to bottom. Confirm that important headings, tables, notices, and page sections appear as expected.
- Save the result if the interface offers it. PageCrawl confirms screenshot storage, but its public product information does not specify a download control or file format. Check the current interface for available save, export, or sharing options.
- Keep useful context with the image. Record the complete URL and capture date and time. If relevant, also note any viewport, device, locale, or page-action settings you selected.
Choose the right approach for a one-off record or ongoing monitoring
| Need | Practical approach | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| One-time visual record | Capture the page and retain a copy if PageCrawl provides an export option; otherwise check which storage and access options your account provides. | Whether the current workflow supports a one-off capture and whether you can save the resulting image. |
| Repeated checks for changes | PageCrawl is positioned as a website change-monitoring service and lists government policy updates among its use cases. | Current plan limits, screenshot retention, check frequency, and alert or report options. These details can change. |
PageCrawl’s homepage says unlimited screenshot storage is available on its Enterprise plan; check its current plan details before relying on a particular retention arrangement. Its displayed prices and plan terms can change, and taxes may apply. PageCrawl plans and features
If the capture is incomplete or does not work
- Some content is missing: The page may load content only after scrolling, waiting, or interacting. Check the current PageCrawl controls for rendering waits or page actions, then inspect a fresh capture. The product’s JavaScript-enabled browser does not guarantee that every dynamic element will load.
- The result is blank or fails to load: Check that the URL is correct and publicly reachable in an ordinary browser, then try again. If the page remains inaccessible, consult PageCrawl’s current help or support information. Do not treat a failed capture as evidence that the government page is unavailable to all visitors.
- A CAPTCHA or access control appears: Do not assume PageCrawl will bypass it. Follow the site’s access requirements or use an authorized route.
- You cannot find a download or export action: Screenshot storage is documented, but a specific export format or button is not established in PageCrawl’s public product information. Check the current interface and plan terms.
- You need proof of a past state: Keep the saved image together with its URL and capture timestamp. A screenshot by itself does not authenticate the site or establish when the underlying page content was published.
What a screenshot can—and cannot—establish
GIGW 3.0 provides guidance for Indian government websites and apps on quality, usability, accessibility, cybersecurity, and lifecycle management. It includes page-level checkpoints, while noting that some matters require manual or tool-based evaluation. A screenshot can help document visible appearance; it cannot, on its own, establish accessibility, security, legal compliance, or conformity with GIGW. The GIGW site identifies the India Portal Team as content owner and says the guidelines were developed and hosted by NIC, MeitY, Government of India; the page displayed a last-updated date of September 25, 2026. For a direct screenshot API alternative, ScreenshotNeo takes a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. It removes cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are not billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots, and the free plan includes 1,000 shots per month without a card. Paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
cURL example, with the target URL set to the government page you want to capture:
