To capture a page beyond the visible viewport with Screenshotlayer, add fullpage=1 to its capture request. Include your access key and a complete target URL with its protocol, then choose a viewport that produces the layout you want. For example:

This is the request shape documented by Screenshotlayer, not a tested call. Build the request with URL-encoded parameter values. Its API reference says HTTPS access is available to paid customers; check your account terms before relying on HTTPS.
Build the full-page Screenshotlayer request
Screenshotlayer captures a website from a URL. The documented endpoint is http://api.screenshotlayer.com/api/capture; the reference says paid customers can use its HTTPS form. The required parameters are access_key and url. Use a protocol-qualified URL such as https://example.com/article for the page you want to render.

Set fullpage=1 to request the target website’s full height rather than only the selected viewport height. The API reference’s example uses a 1440×900 viewport, but you can set another viewport to capture the responsive layout you need.

Choose settings for a long or dynamic page
Set the viewport for the layout you need
The viewport width can change the page’s responsive design, including its navigation, column layout, and text wrapping. Choose the intended dimensions before capture, and record them alongside the result if someone else needs to reproduce it. A mobile-width capture is not simply a smaller copy of a desktop screenshot; the page may render a different layout.
Use a delay when content needs more time
Set delay in seconds if scripts, animations, or late-loading content need time to appear. Screenshotlayer’s official blog recommends a delay for animations and lazy-loaded content. The reviewed documentation does not say that a delay automatically scrolls the page or triggers every scroll-dependent component. Inspect the resulting image and test the target page rather than assuming all deferred sections loaded.

Refresh cached captures when the page changes
The API reference lists a default cache TTL of 2,592,000 seconds, or 30 days. If a page has changed and the returned screenshot looks stale, set force=1 to request a fresh capture. The official blog also describes cache controls using ttl and force.
Check the complete output
The reference describes fullpage=1 as capturing the target website’s full height, but the reviewed specifications do not state a maximum full-page height, output-size limit, or guarantee for every lazy-loading implementation. Check the image returned for unusually long or dynamic pages. If your workflow depends on a hard service limit, ask Screenshotlayer support for an authoritative answer before building around one.

What this request does—and does not—capture
The documented workflow supplies a URL for Screenshotlayer to render. The reviewed material does not establish that the API accepts raw HTML document content as its target, so do not treat this as a method for uploading an arbitrary local HTML file. For a locally hosted page, first make it reachable at a URL that the service can access, if your setup permits.

css_url can attach a stylesheet, but doing so changes the page’s appearance. Leave it out when the goal is to preserve the page as visitors see it.

Troubleshoot common full-page capture problems
- The result only shows the viewport: Confirm that the request includes
fullpage=1and that the parameter is being sent as part of the API request. - The request is rejected or cannot authenticate: Check that
access_keyis present and that you copied the key from the Screenshotlayer account dashboard. Keep the key private. - The target page does not load: Confirm that
urlcontains the correct, complete address, includinghttps://orhttp://, and that the page is reachable by the service. - Text, images, or animations are missing: Try a suitable
delayin seconds, then inspect the result. A delay alone is not documented as a way to trigger every scroll-dependent element. - The layout differs from the page you intended: Adjust
viewportto match the desktop, tablet, or mobile layout you want. Width can trigger a different responsive design. - The capture looks out of date: Set
