You can build a Hindi-language YouTube channel around recorded flat tours and scheduled live sessions with a verified channel, a phone or camera, a clear walkthrough plan, and a reliable internet connection. Use YouTube’s built-in mobile or webcam workflow for a simple presentation; choose an encoder when you need multiple cameras, external audio, or more control over the production. Before promoting a project, check the current rules of the RERA authority governing that specific project.
1. Set up YouTube Live access
Before planning a broadcast, confirm that the channel is eligible to go live. YouTube Help says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access well before the first tour. YouTube also states that streamers must be at least 16 years old. - Sign in to the YouTube channel you will use for the builder or project.
- Verify the channel if prompted and request live access in YouTube Studio or the YouTube app.
- Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation; do not leave this check until the day of a launch.
- Confirm that the account is not subject to a live-streaming restriction and that the person operating the stream meets YouTube’s age requirement.
2. Choose how to present the tour
YouTube supports mobile, webcam, and encoder streams. A phone or webcam is usually the simplest starting point for one presenter walking through a unit. An encoder can be useful when the production needs multiple cameras, external microphones, graphics, or a more controlled sequence. You do not need specialized equipment to begin; use available gear and test it in the actual flat. YouTube’s format options are described in its live streaming help.

For a phone-based walk-through, an optional phone-compatible wireless lavalier microphone may make speech easier to hear while moving. Compatibility depends on the phone’s connector and operating system, so test the exact microphone and phone together in the room. A tripod or stabilizer can help for fixed shots, but neither is a requirement.

3. Plan the Hindi flat-tour format
Start in Hindi with the project name and location, then identify the unit being shown so viewers understand what the tour covers. Walk through the home in a consistent order: entrance, living area, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, balcony, views, and shared amenities where relevant. Show transitions between spaces and useful details rather than relying only on polished still images.
- Say which features are visible now and distinguish them clearly from features planned or promised for later.
- Use a title and description that identify the project, location, unit or tour subject, and whether the session is live or a recorded walkthrough.
- If live chat is enabled, assign a representative to follow questions and answer during the tour or explain when a reply will come.
- Close with a practical next step, such as where viewers can ask questions or how to arrange an in-person visit.
The exact storytelling style is your choice; YouTube supports real-time chat and interaction, but it does not prescribe a real-estate tour format. Consider whether the tour is best presented horizontally or vertically: YouTube says vertical streams can offer a full-screen mobile experience, but that framing may not suit every room or multi-camera production.

4. Schedule, test, and start the stream
Scheduling gives prospective buyers a link to save and share. YouTube says sharing the stream link at least 48 hours before going live can help promote it. For an encoder session, YouTube recommends setting up at least two hours ahead and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Those are YouTube’s operating recommendations, not guarantees of a trouble-free broadcast. Consult YouTube’s encoder setup guidance and live encoder settings and troubleshooting.

Keep the event link for promotion.
- Prepare the location and presentation: Check the route through the flat, reduce avoidable background noise, and decide who will monitor questions if chat is enabled.
- Test the connection: YouTube recommends upload capacity with 20% headroom beyond the total stream bitrate. Test from the place where you will walk and speak, not only from a nearby office.
- For an encoder stream, set up early: Allow at least two hours for setup and start the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time, as YouTube recommends.
- Check the Live Control Room preview: Confirm that the expected video and audio appear, and verify that the stream is visible on the channel and watch page before the presenter begins.
- Monitor while live: Watch for audio dropouts, unstable video, or connection problems, and keep a person available to respond to viewer questions.
Bitrate and other encoder settings depend on the chosen resolution and streaming setup. Follow YouTube’s current encoder settings guidance for the actual configuration rather than copying settings intended for a different quality or production.

5. Keep recordings and clips usable
YouTube’s stated automatic-archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, so do not rely on YouTube as the only copy of a particularly important event. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive backup. 6. Check copyright and project-advertising requirements
Use footage and audio you have rights to use
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it; an archived live stream may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast. Verify the rules for the project’s state
There is no single checklist in the sources below that should be treated as the rule for every Indian state. Before publishing promotional footage, check the current directions of the RERA authority that governs the project, confirm its registration status and exact registration details, and ensure spoken and visible claims match the approved project information. - Rajasthan: The 2024 regulation text addresses project registration and advertising disclosures and expressly includes YouTube among social-media examples. A Rajasthan Authority order dated 30 July 2025 later modified advertisement directions, including dispensing with a QR code in social-media publications. Read the applicable materials at Rajasthan RERA and check for later or project-specific directions.
- Telangana: RERA proceedings describe RERA-number and Authority-website disclosures for audio-visual media and digital content, along with additional advertisement detail. Check the current project requirements with Telangana RERA.
- Kerala: Kerala RERA public notices and promoter guidance describe registration-detail obligations for relevant project advertisements and social media. Verify the current guidance with Kerala RERA.
