You should not build an agent database by automatically collecting Redfin pages unless you first obtain express written permission from the applicable Redfin company. Redfin’s directory is useful for looking up agents one at a time, but its Terms of Use prohibit automated crawling or querying to obtain information without that permission. The Services Addendum also restricts copying, redistribution, scraping, and data mining of MLS-derived information. If you need a structured database, first secure permission and confirm the applicable MLS and data-owner conditions.
What Redfin lets you look up
Redfin’s agent directory supports searches by city, ZIP code, or agent name. Individual profiles may include transaction history, customer reviews, and contact information. Redfin also says an agent’s team number or an “Ask a Question” box may appear on a profile or listing page, and its customer FAQ notes that agent contact information is available on listing pages as well as profiles. See Redfin’s Buying FAQ for consumer discovery guidance.
These features support looking up an agent to learn more or make a consumer inquiry. They are not a bulk export facility or permission to assemble the information into a reusable directory.
Why automated collection is not a safe starting point
Redfin’s Terms of Use, updated September 29, 2025, state in section 2.3.5 that users may not “automatedly crawl or query” its services to obtain information—including through screen or database scraping, spiders, robots, or crawlers—unless they have received prior express written permission from the applicable Redfin company. The Redfin Terms of Use also include a Services Addendum restricting copying, redistribution, retransmission, scraping, data mining, and activity intended to collect, store, reorganize, summarize, or manipulate information or related data. The terms describe MLS-provided information as for personal, non-commercial use and note that MLSs own their listing data.
#1 Best Overall
In practical terms, do not automate browser visits, extract profile fields at scale, or repurpose MLS-derived details for a business list on the assumption that public visibility means reuse is allowed. Redfin’s terms also say that MLS information is not guaranteed to be reliable, accurate, or current. Permission to access data and permission to reuse or redistribute it are questions to resolve before collection, not after a database is populated.
How to proceed if you need a structured agent database
- Define the intended use. Specify whether the database is for internal research, a consumer directory, or business outreach; which fields you need; and whether you plan to publish, share, or contact people using the records.
- Request express written permission before collecting Redfin information. Identify the pages, fields, collection method, scale, retention period, and intended uses. Ask the applicable Redfin company to confirm the scope of any permission in writing.
- Confirm data-owner and MLS conditions. Redfin’s addendum notes that MLSs own their listing data. Confirm what the relevant MLS or other data owner permits for collection, storage, updates, publication, and outreach. Permission from one party should not be assumed to settle the other’s conditions.
- Set field-level provenance and verification rules. For every field, record its source, permission status, and date checked. Verify agent identity, brokerage, license status, contact details, and geographic coverage through independently authorized authoritative sources. The Redfin materials do not establish a particular public-record source or licensing-check method.
- Plan for maintenance and correction. Redfin says listing data comes directly from the MLS and changes should be made in the MLS; MLS-powered websites update afterward. Establish a refresh and correction process with your authorized sources rather than treating a profile snapshot as permanent.
What Redfin’s support routes do—and do not—provide
Redfin directs non-Redfin agents with questions about its Open Book directory or editing a profile to openbook@redfin.com. That is a support contact, not stated authorization for bulk collection. The reviewed Redfin materials do not document a general bulk export, an API, or a blanket permission route. Ask directly about your specific project; do not interpret profile-support guidance as permission to harvest profiles.
Rank #2
Redfin’s privacy policy describes a separate consumer-request flow: when a user submits a request through Redfin, the user authorizes Redfin to share personal information—including contact information, search history, favorites, and saved searches—with a real estate professional to respond. That consumer authorization is not permission to compile agent profiles or contact details into a database. See the Redfin Privacy Policy.

The reviewed Redfin materials do not establish a lawful bulk-source alternative. When assessing any source, document the answers to these questions before importing records:
Rank #3
- Authorization: Do the source terms and any written agreement permit the proposed collection method?
- Reuse and outreach: May you store, publish, redistribute, or use the records for the intended contact activity?
- Provenance and updates: Can you retain the source and date for each field, and is there a stated update cadence?
- Accuracy and coverage: How are identity, license, brokerage, location, and contact details verified, and what geographic coverage is actually supported?

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. A screenshot can document an individual page you are permitted to view, but it does not grant permission to collect, store, or reuse Redfin information. The API accepts one GET request with a URL and returns a screenshot or PDF. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation.
