To broadcast a Bengali podcast archive continuously, put the episodes you have permission to rebroadcast into a playlist, then send that playlist to YouTube Live with an encoder running on a computer or a cloud playout service. YouTube supplies the stream URL and key; the playout system supplies the continuous playback. Plan separately for recordings: YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be archived automatically, but a stream over 12 hours may not be captured at all.
Before you start: check channel access and content rights
Enable live streaming
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours. Start early rather than waiting until the intended launch time. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
Make sure the archive is cleared for rebroadcast
Having a podcast recording does not necessarily mean you have rights to every component in it. Review music beds and themes, guest voices, clips, artwork, and other inserted material. YouTube’s livestream terms require the creator to have necessary rights for live content and its use on Google services, including applicable music rights.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it identifies material that remains in the stream, it may interrupt or terminate the broadcast. A license alone may not prevent an interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance. Resolve permissions before putting an archive on a continuous feed.

Prepare the Bengali podcast playlist
- Select episodes: Choose only recordings you are entitled to rebroadcast. Decide whether you want episodes to repeat in order or shuffle; for a coherent archive, an ordered playlist is usually easier for listeners to follow.
- Identify the feed: Add a short slate or title card naming the channel and explaining that the broadcast plays archived episodes. This is a practical clarity measure, not a YouTube requirement.
- Check playback: Listen through transitions and confirm that the playlist has enough material for the intended rotation. Watch for long silences, abrupt volume changes, missing files, or an episode that should not be included.
- Keep a preservation copy: Save the source episodes and consider recording the assembled program locally. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive backup; estimate storage from the recording bitrate and hours you plan to retain.
Choose how to keep the playlist on air
| Approach | What stays running | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo cloud service | StreamNeo plays uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud. | Creators who want an always-on prerecorded YouTube feed without leaving a computer running. | Uses a paid slot after the one free day; check the service’s current terms for your needs. |
| Local computer and encoder | Your computer, encoder or playout software, power, and internet connection. | Creators who want direct control of the local setup and can keep it operational. | A shutdown, software issue, power loss, or network interruption can stop the feed. |
| Another cloud playout provider | The provider’s servers, subject to its current service limits and terms. | Creators comparing hosted playlist workflows. | Features, usage limits, outage handling, and cost vary; verify them with the provider. |
YouTube documents encoder streaming and stream-key setup, but the cited YouTube pages do not describe a native permanent playlist-loop procedure. A local setup therefore needs a playout method that can repeat the episodes; a hosted service may provide that function. Upstream documents uploading content, arranging a playlist, and continuous cloud looping, but those are vendor statements, not a YouTube endorsement. Its FAQ describes a free plan with 24 streaming hours monthly and says a channel running all month needs a paid plan with unlimited streaming hours; confirm current details on Upstream’s 24/7 streaming page and FAQ.
Create the YouTube stream and connect your encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create or schedule a stream for encoder use. You can follow YouTube’s stream creation workflow.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key from the Live Control Room into the encoder’s stream settings. Treat the key like a password: someone who obtains it may be able to send content to your channel. Reset it if you think it has been exposed.
- Choose stream privacy and applicable controls in the stream settings. YouTube documents settings such as DVR, auto-start, and auto-stop; availability can depend on the stream configuration. See Manage live stream settings.
- Set the encoder to send a stable feed, then preview it in the Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. Do not assume the stream is ready just because the encoder reports a connection.
Use compatible video, audio, and network settings
YouTube’s current encoder guidance recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate, and a two-second keyframe interval, with keyframes no more than four seconds apart. Supported video codecs listed for RTMP/RTMPS include H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1; audio codecs include AAC and MP3. Check YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guide for the current resolution-specific bitrate recommendations before choosing a target.

- Blue VO!CE software: Elevate your streamings and recordings with clear broadcast vocal sound and entertain your audience with enhanced effects, advanced modulation and HD audio samples
- Four pickup patterns: Flexible cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo pickup patterns allow you to record in ways that would normally require multiple mics, for vocals, instruments and podcasts
- Onboard audio controls: Headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, and mic gain put you in charge of every level of the audio recording and streaming process
- Positionable design: Pivot the mic in relation to the sound source to optimize your sound quality thanks to the adjustable desktop stand and track your voice in real time with no-latency monitoring
A podcast archive does not need a complicated visual treatment: a static or gently animated image can identify the show while the audio plays. Select a resolution and bitrate your encoder and upload connection can sustain. YouTube recommends about 20% upload-bandwidth headroom beyond the total streaming bitrate. If several devices or streams share the connection, account for their upload use too.

Test and monitor the broadcast
- Set up and test the encoder before the planned launch; preview the incoming stream in the Live Control Room.
- Check the local recording file and confirm that it is growing if you are recording a backup.
- Open the channel’s watch page and verify that the stream is visible to the intended audience; check on a phone as well as a computer.
- Listen for audio problems and check that the picture is moving as intended. Continue monitoring for silent playback, a stuck episode, playlist exhaustion, encoder restarts, power interruptions, and connection failure.
- Have a recovery plan. A 24/7 label does not eliminate the need to detect an outage and restart or restore playback.
YouTube’s live streaming tips recommend testing, checking local archive files, confirming viewer access, and monitoring stream quality. These checks reduce avoidable problems but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive limit
YouTube Help says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” It also warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. See Archive live streams.
Do not rely on one continuous 24/7 broadcast to produce a complete replay. If individual replayable sessions matter, consider ending and restarting before a session reaches 12 hours, and keep a local recording regardless. YouTube’s guidance does not promise that every shorter session will archive successfully.

Troubleshooting common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| Encoder cannot connect | Incorrect stream URL or key, an unenabled live channel, or a connection problem. | Confirm live streaming is enabled, copy the current URL and key from the correct Live Control Room stream, and check the encoder’s connection settings. |
| Stream starts, then drops | Unstable upload, computer or encoder interruption, or a power failure. | Check upload capacity and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom; inspect the computer, power, and encoder logs, then restore the feed. |
| Audio is silent or stops between episodes | Source-file issue, playlist transition problem, or playback reaching the end of its queue. | Test the episode files and transitions, confirm the loop or repeat setting, and monitor whether playback has advanced. |
| Video is buffering or poor quality | Bitrate exceeds available upload capacity or the encoder settings are mismatched. | Reduce the target bitrate or resolution to a sustainable setting, use constant bitrate, and verify the keyframe interval against YouTube’s guidance. |
| Live broadcast is interrupted for copyright | Third-party material was detected and remains in the stream, or a rights-holder allowlist is needed. | Review the flagged material and rights status; do not assume a license by itself prevents Content ID interruption. |
| No full replay appears afterward | The stream ran longer than 12 hours or automatic archiving did not succeed. | Use shorter sessions if replays matter and preserve a local recording as the dependable backup. |
