To automate screenshots of Amazon.in or Flipkart product pages with Urlbox, submit each authorized product-page URL as a render request, choose a viewport or full-page capture, and add a selector or wait only when the page content requires it. Urlbox documents render links and a REST API, but its documentation does not establish reliable rendering for these specific marketplaces. Test the exact pages and capture settings you plan to use before relying on them in a scheduled workflow.
How the workflow works
Urlbox renders a URL you provide; it does not discover product pages by crawling a marketplace. That makes the basic workflow a list of explicit render jobs: prepare URLs, configure captures, send requests, and inspect the results. Urlbox describes its requests as customer-initiated and says, “We are not a search or training crawler. We do not follow links or spider a site.” (Urlbox bot disclosure.)
- Collect the product-page URLs. Use the specific Amazon.in or Flipkart URLs you are authorized to capture. Record each input URL with its capture time and resulting file so that later comparisons have context.
- Choose an integration. Use a render link when a URL can be embedded directly, or make JSON requests to the REST API for application-driven workflows. Urlbox also describes synchronous and asynchronous requests, batch processing, and webhooks in its documentation.
- Choose the capture area. A normal viewport captures what is visible without scrolling. Use full-page capture for a long page, or a CSS selector when the evidence you need is a specific product detail or price section.
- Configure loading behavior. If content appears after initial page load, use a wait for an element or wait for a loading indicator to disappear. For lazy-loaded content in a long page, use stitch mode, which scrolls the page before stitching captured sections.
- Run a small pilot. Inspect the resulting images and errors for your target URL, locale, viewport, and timing before scheduling a larger set of captures.
Choose a capture method

Choose a viewport capture when the goal is a repeatable snapshot of the visible product page at a known width and height. It is generally simpler to compare across runs than a changing full-page capture, but content below the fold will not appear.

Urlbox describes stitch mode as scrolling the page to trigger animations and lazy-loaded elements, freezing fixed or sticky elements, capturing page sections, and stitching them together. The documentation characterizes it as optimized for accuracy. Long pages and unusual layouts can still produce results that need visual review.
Full-page native mode
Urlbox’s native full-page option uses the browser’s native full-page screenshot capability. Urlbox describes it as faster, but notes that it may not work well on every site and is optimized for speed rather than accuracy. Prefer stitch mode when completeness and layout fidelity matter more than speed; validate either mode on the actual page.

CSS selector capture
A selector capture is useful when a whole page is unnecessary—for example, when the record should show one product information block. Selectors depend on the current marketplace layout and locale. The reviewed Urlbox documentation does not provide verified Amazon.in or Flipkart selectors, so inspect the page and confirm the selector against each target page. Urlbox can be configured to fail when a requested selector is not found, which helps distinguish a missing target from an apparently successful but empty capture.
Configure dynamic pages and visible overlays
Wait for the content you need
Use wait_for for an element that should appear before capture, or wait_to_leave when a loading indicator should disappear. Choose a condition tied to the page behavior you observe rather than adding an arbitrary delay by default. A wait can help with asynchronous rendering, but it cannot guarantee that a marketplace page will load successfully or that its layout will remain unchanged.

Lazy-loaded content
Some page elements may only load after scrolling. Urlbox’s stitch mode scrolls to trigger lazy-loaded elements before capturing sections. If a particular product block is missing, check whether it appears only after scrolling and whether your selected capture mode includes that area.
Cookie and other overlays
Urlbox documents options to hide cookie banners, attempt to click an accept button, press Escape, and block ads or selected URLs. These settings alter the record: hiding an overlay is not the same as accepting it, and clicking an accept control may change consent state. Choose only the behavior appropriate to your purpose and applicable consent requirements.
Viewport and output format
Set viewport width and height to match the intended device or audit requirement. Urlbox documents image output choices including PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF, along with PDF and other render formats. Select the format your archive or reporting system accepts, and keep dimensions and format consistent when comparing captures over time.

Build a repeatable batch or schedule
For a recurring workflow, treat each product URL as its own render job and retain the input URL, capture timestamp, chosen settings, and output. Urlbox describes list-based and scheduled screenshot workflows, as well as integrations and webhook guides. In an engineering pipeline, handle each result explicitly: record failures, inspect changed layouts, and avoid treating an error response as a valid screenshot. The Urlbox documentation does not establish a successful capture rate for Amazon.in or Flipkart, so do not assume a schedule will produce a complete archive without monitoring.
Access, robots.txt, and marketplace limitations
Urlbox says signed requests honor robots.txt for its Urlbox product token, falling back to the * group. The disclosure describes Urlbox’s request behavior; it does not establish marketplace permission, provide a marketplace-approved API route, or guarantee that a requested page will render. Check the marketplace’s current terms and access requirements for your intended use.

Urlbox documents automation-related options including use_stealth and hide_headless, and notes that some options have plan requirements. Their existence is not permission to bypass access controls and is not evidence that a particular page will be accessible. The available Urlbox documentation is generic: it does not provide a verified compatibility matrix, tested success rate, or platform-specific rules for Amazon.in or Flipkart. Pilot the exact URLs and settings, and do not promise a capture rate or deploy at an assumed request frequency.
Common problems and fixes
- The screenshot is blank or incomplete: Check whether the URL itself loads in the intended locale, whether the page needs more time, and whether key content is lazy-loaded. Try a wait tied to the target element or use stitch mode for long pages.
- A selector capture fails or misses the product details: Verify the selector on the current page and locale. Marketplace layouts can change, and the reviewed documentation does not supply selectors for these sites. Configure missing-selector failure where appropriate rather than silently accepting an empty result.
- A full-page image is missing sections or has layout artifacts: Compare native mode with stitch mode. Native mode is faster but may be less reliable on some sites; stitch mode is designed to trigger lazy loading and prioritize accuracy. Inspect long or unusual pages rather than assuming either mode is flawless.
- A cookie or promotional overlay obscures content: Decide whether the capture should preserve the page as presented or hide the overlay. If using a click or hide option, record that choice because it changes what the screenshot shows.
- Automated requests are blocked or do not render: Do not treat stealth-related options as a guarantee or as authorization to bypass controls. Review applicable access requirements and test only an appropriate, permitted workflow.
- A scheduled run has missing files: Track each URL as an independent job, retain its result and capture time, and surface failures for review. A scheduled workflow does not itself establish that every marketplace page rendered.
