YouTube provides the broadcast connection details; the encoder supplies and repeats the video feed. The PC, encoder, power and internet connection must remain available for a local setup to keep streaming.
How the 24/7 playlist setup works
YouTube Studio and the encoder do different jobs. Studio creates or schedules the YouTube broadcast and provides the server URL and stream key. The encoder connects to YouTube and sends the audio/video. Its playlist settings determine which prerecorded videos play, in what order, and whether they repeat. Scheduling an event in Studio does not make a playlist or keep the PC streaming by itself.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance recommends RTMPS. Treat the stream key as a password: anyone who has it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
Set up the YouTube broadcast
- Enable live streaming. In YouTube Studio, select Go Live and follow the prompts if live streaming is not enabled. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. YouTube’s encoder setup guide has the current workflow.
- Create or schedule a stream. In Live Control Room, create a stream or schedule one. Set the title, description, privacy, audience selection and other metadata for the intended broadcast. A scheduled event creates the YouTube-side event and watch-page workflow; your encoder still has to connect and send the media.
- Copy the connection details. In the stream’s encoder settings, copy the server URL and stream key. Keep the key private and enter it only in the encoder you trust.
Configure the PC encoder and playlist
Choose an encoder that can send a continuous RTMP or RTMPS feed and play a playlist of local media files. Some encoders offer a YouTube connection option; otherwise, enter the server URL and key copied from Studio. The exact playlist controls vary by encoder and version, so use its current documentation rather than assuming a menu sequence.

- Set the intended video order and confirm whether the playlist repeats continuously.
- Check how the encoder handles transitions, mixed frame rates, audio tracks and files that fail to play.
- Configure the output resolution, frame rate, codec and bitrate to suit the source material, PC capacity and measured upload connection.
- Make sure the encoder will not stop after playing the last item or when a dialog, update or error appears.
YouTube’s setup documentation explains how the encoder hands off the stream, not a universal playlist-loop procedure. The chosen encoder’s behavior must be verified in a test.
Choose quality using the actual upload connection
Test upload capacity from the place where the PC will stream, ideally at a time when you expect to operate it. YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and checking stream health while sending audio and movement similar to the real content. A speed-test peak is not proof that the connection will sustain an uninterrupted stream; leave headroom rather than setting the encoder to match a single best result.
There is no single safe bitrate for every playlist. The appropriate setting depends on resolution, frame rate, codec and how much motion is in the video. Use YouTube’s current live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions guidance alongside the encoder’s own settings. Watch the stream-health indicators in Live Control Room during testing and adjust if the feed is unstable.

Test the entire chain before leaving it unattended
- Start with a private or unlisted test if that fits your channel and audience needs.
- Confirm the encoder connects to the intended scheduled stream and that the YouTube preview shows the correct video.
- Let the playlist advance through more than one item and verify that it loops as intended.
- Check audio, picture, transitions and stream-health indicators while representative content is playing.
- Test the encoder’s recovery behavior by closing and reopening it, and test a planned PC restart. Confirm whether you must reconnect manually or whether the software resumes on its own.
- Before going public, verify the event’s privacy and metadata, then watch the stream after launch.
These checks are operational precautions: YouTube’s guidance supports testing upload and representative content, but no particular encoder’s playlist or restart behavior is guaranteed by the Studio setup workflow.

What JioFiber changes—and what it does not
JioFiber supplies a home gateway/router, but the plan name or advertised speed does not establish the sustained upload, Wi-Fi quality or interruption rate at your PC. Check your active plan’s terms and measure the connection where the encoder will run. Jio’s JioFiber information and postpaid service terms describe service and plan conditions; they do not prove the performance of an individual household connection.
Jio’s postpaid terms describe usage above 3300 GB in a billing cycle as potentially treated as misuse of unlimited-data benefits. That is plan-specific wording, not a universal allowance for every JioFiber customer. Check the terms attached to your account before relying on it for a continuous broadcast.

Jio’s marketing has described up to 1 Gbps and symmetric upload and download speeds in its plan context. That is not a guarantee of your PC’s measured throughput or a statement that every plan and location receives those speeds. Test your connection and check your own plan.
If Wi-Fi is unstable near the PC, connecting it to the Jio gateway by Ethernet can remove some wireless variability. It cannot fix an ISP-side outage, a power cut or a faulty gateway.
Plan for interruptions, restarts and archives
A local 24/7 setup depends on the PC, encoder, home power and broadband all remaining usable. A power interruption, router restart, PC update, software crash or YouTube disconnect can stop the feed. Find out what the encoder does after each kind of interruption and decide how you will notice and restart the stream. A UPS may help keep a PC and router powered through some brief power interruptions, but it does not maintain broadband service if the network itself is down.

YouTube says, “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” This does not promise an archive for a broadcast lasting 12 hours or more. If you need a YouTube archive, plan shorter broadcast segments and confirm the current archive behavior in Studio instead of assuming an indefinite 24/7 stream will produce one continuous recording.
Also review the rights and YouTube policies relevant to every item in the playlist. Having a video file does not by itself establish that you have permission to livestream its music, footage or other material. A continuous playlist does not exempt a channel from YouTube’s copyright or monetization policies.

Troubleshooting common failures
- YouTube does not accept the connection: Check that the encoder is using the server URL and stream key for the intended Studio event. If this is the channel’s first livestream, activation may not yet be complete; YouTube says enablement can take up to 24 hours.
- The preview buffers or stream health is poor: Test sustained upload at the PC’s location, lower the output bitrate or quality, and retest with representative motion and audio. A high headline speed does not guarantee steady upload.
- The stream starts but the playlist stops: Check the encoder’s repeat setting, end-of-playlist behavior and file playback errors. Confirm the setting by letting the playlist reach its end during a test.
- The PC appears connected to Wi-Fi but the stream drops: Test closer to the gateway or try wired Ethernet to distinguish local wireless instability from other causes. Wired networking will not resolve an upstream outage.
- The stream does not resume after a reboot or disconnect: Check the encoder’s restart and reconnect options, and test them deliberately before relying on unattended operation. Recovery depends on the encoder and the cause of the interruption.
- You cannot find the expected archive: Check the duration and current Studio behavior. YouTube’s stated automatic archive condition applies to streams under 12 hours, not an indefinite 24/7 broadcast.
