You can automate a Kannada devotional playlist for a continuous YouTube channel either by sending a looping playlist from an encoder on a computer or by using a cloud service that plays uploaded videos. With a computer-based setup, create a YouTube stream in Live Control Room, connect an encoder such as OBS using YouTube’s stream URL and key, and configure the media to loop. Before going live, confirm that you have rights to every recording and visual: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a match can interrupt or replace the stream.
Before you build the playlist, clear the rights
Make a list of every song recording, image, video, lyric, and caption you intend to broadcast. Permission to use a devotional composition does not necessarily cover a particular sound recording, arrangement, performance, artwork, or translation; check the rights for the actual material in your playlist.
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A detected match may interrupt the broadcast or replace it with a placeholder. If you have licensed third-party material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license by itself may not prevent an interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on live-stream content restrictions.
Do not assume that a song is safe because it is devotional, old, or available elsewhere online. If you cannot establish permission for a recording and its other included material, leave it out until you can.

Set up an encoder-based 24/7 playlist
This do-it-yourself method uses a computer running streaming software. YouTube also supports standalone hardware encoders, but the exact playlist automation and recovery steps depend on the device and software. YouTube names OBS as a software-encoder option; its documentation does not guarantee that a particular loop setup will run unattended indefinitely.
1. Prepare and test your media
- Assemble the audio and any artwork, lyrics, or captions you have permission to use.
- Arrange tracks in the desired order and check that the playlist transitions and total duration suit your channel. Test the files in your chosen encoder before scheduling a public broadcast.
- Decide how the picture will behave between tracks—for example, a static image or an authorized visual. Confirm that the encoder continues sending video as well as audio throughout the playlist.
2. Enable live streaming and create a stream
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room.
- Create a stream or schedule one in advance, then locate the stream URL and stream key in the stream settings.
- If this is your channel’s first live stream, allow time for activation: YouTube says enabling it may take up to 24 hours. Follow the current prompts in Studio and do not plan a first broadcast at the last minute.

3. Connect and configure the encoder
- In your encoder’s streaming settings, select the platform or service option for YouTube if available. Enter the stream URL and stream key from Live Control Room.
- Add the prepared media as a source or playlist and set the source to repeat. The exact control is encoder-specific; verify the loop by letting the playlist reach its end during a private or otherwise appropriate test.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel.
- Start sending from the encoder, then use Live Control Room to check the incoming preview and complete YouTube’s go-live workflow.
YouTube’s encoder guidance describes both software encoders running on a computer and standalone hardware encoders. It does not establish a universal computer specification, ideal bitrate or resolution, or a guaranteed unattended configuration for a 24/7 playlist. Choose settings supported by your encoder and connection, then verify the result in YouTube’s preview rather than relying on an unsupported one-size-fits-all setting.

4. Choose a protocol only when you need to
For a standard encoder setup, follow the protocol and connection instructions in the encoder and YouTube Studio. YouTube’s HLS instructions apply specifically when you choose HLS: they require TS segments, segment durations of 1–4 seconds, and a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments. HLS has higher latency than RTMP because it sends video in segments. These HLS requirements are not general settings for every YouTube stream. See YouTube’s HLS ingestion requirements.

Plan for interruptions and archives
A looping playlist is not, by itself, a reliability plan. With an encoder running on your own computer, the broadcast depends on that computer, the encoder, power, and network continuing to work. The official YouTube setup guidance establishes how to connect an encoder, but does not verify a particular failover design, monitoring system, restart procedure, or internet service for continuous operation.

Decide how you will notice and respond if the encoder stops or YouTube disconnects it. Test your own recovery steps before relying on the channel, and avoid promising viewers uninterrupted service unless you have a setup that supports that claim.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not establish an archive plan for a continuous broadcast lasting longer than that, so do not assume an all-day stream will be preserved as one complete replay. See YouTube’s live-stream archive information.

Common problems and what to check
- The stream will not start: Check whether live streaming is enabled for the channel, whether first-time activation is still pending, and whether the stream URL and key were copied correctly into the encoder.
- YouTube detects copyrighted material: Stop and review the affected recording or other material. Confirm that your permission covers the specific content and ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting if you have a license.
- The playlist ends instead of repeating: Check the encoder’s repeat or loop setting and test it through a full cycle. The control varies by encoder.
- The stream stops while unattended: Check the encoder, computer or hardware, power, and network. The setup should include a way to detect a stopped broadcast and a tested recovery procedure; YouTube’s basic setup instructions do not provide a universal 24/7 failover recipe.
- You expected a complete replay of a long broadcast: YouTube’s stated automatic archive condition covers streams under 12 hours, not a continuous broadcast beyond that duration.
