YouTube Studio can schedule a separate livestream event for each day, but a scheduled event is not the same thing as a playlist of videos. If you mean a different sequence of media playing during each livestream, set that sequence in the encoder or playout system that sends the feed to YouTube. If you mean a YouTube channel playlist containing each stream or its archive, check the event’s Details page: YouTube’s reviewed help documentation does not clearly confirm a per-event playlist selector.
First, decide which kind of playlist you mean
A YouTube channel playlist for the event or its archive
This is a playlist on your channel used to organize livestreams or their recordings. YouTube’s help pages explain scheduling events and managing stream settings, but do not explicitly document a control for assigning a different channel playlist to every scheduled event. Open the event’s Details page in YouTube Studio and look for a playlist selector. If it is available in your current interface, choose the intended playlist there; do not assume the setting exists or behaves a particular way without checking.
A playlist of videos or audio that plays during the livestream
This is the media viewers hear or see while the event is live. YouTube schedules the broadcast event, but an encoder or playback system supplies the audio-video feed. Prepare the day’s media sequence in that system, then connect it to the intended YouTube event. A YouTube stream key identifies where the encoder sends its feed; it does not select a channel playlist.

In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, then open Manage → Schedule Stream.

Choose Create new to make a distinct event, or use Reuse settings to start from a prior event. Set the date and time, title, description, visibility, and other event details for that day.

If you mean a channel playlist, inspect this event’s Details page for a playlist selector. Assign the intended playlist only if the control is present; the official help sources reviewed do not establish its availability or exact behavior for every event.

If you mean content playback, configure the encoder or playout system with the media sequence for the day. In YouTube’s Live Control Room, use the stream URL and stream key to connect the encoder to the event. Confirm that the selected event and feed match.

Preview and test the setup before the scheduled start. YouTube’s API overview describes using a monitor stream for preview and testing. A private or unlisted rehearsal can help you confirm the correct event and media feed without relying on the public show as your first test.

Understand the event, stream, and playlist roles
YouTube’s Live Streaming API distinguishes a liveBroadcast, the event viewers watch, from a liveStream, the audio-video content sent to YouTube. A broadcast is associated with a stream. The documented API supports creating and managing broadcasts and streams, binding a broadcast to a stream, and changing broadcast status; it does not document an operation for rotating playlists. The API reference was last updated September 15, 2026, and the API overview September 14, 2026.
For recurring events, Google’s API documentation describes using one stream configuration for multiple scheduled broadcasts. That can reduce repeated encoder setup when events occur at different times and use the same settings. A separate stream for each broadcast may be appropriate when shows need distinct stream settings or events overlap. Neither arrangement, by itself, schedules different media playlists: the encoder or playout layer still has to send the intended content.

This API scope does not prove that no playlist feature exists elsewhere in YouTube Studio. It does mean the documented API should not be treated as a daily playlist-rotation tool. Check the current Studio interface for channel-playlist assignment, and verify any external playout system’s timed-switching and recovery behavior before depending on it.

Prepare each event manually
For a straightforward schedule, create or reuse the daily YouTube event, then load the matching media sequence in the encoder before the broadcast. This keeps the event setup and the playback setup explicit, but requires a person to prepare and verify each day’s configuration.

Use automated playout for timed changes
If media must switch automatically at set times, use an encoder or separate playout system that supports the required time-based switching. The YouTube documentation cited here does not validate a particular vendor or establish that a given third-party system can rotate playlists, maintain continuity, or recover from interruptions. Confirm those capabilities directly and rehearse the schedule.
