Check the PDF afterward: official guidance does not promise that every protected page, dynamic field, or remark will appear in print. This guide uses NSP as its example; state and institutional scholarship portals may work differently.
Choose the correct NSP status route
The National Scholarship Portal supports student application, receipt, processing, sanction, and disbursal services, including online application-status tracking, according to the Government Services Portal. Start from the official NSP student page, not an unofficial lookup page or an old search-result link.
NSP separates access by academic year. Its student page says applicants use an OTR ID and password to fill and check fresh and renewal applications from AY 2024–25 onward. It identifies a separate application-status route for AY 2022–23 and AY 2023–24. Follow the route shown for the applicant’s year and application type; do not assume a current login path applies to older applications. The interface labels the status function “Track Student Application Status.”
Save the status page as a PDF in Chrome
- Sign in or open the official status route for the correct academic year. Enter credentials only on the official portal.
- Open the application status and wait until the visible status fields and remarks finish loading.
- On a Windows or Linux computer, press Ctrl+P. On a Mac, press Command+P. These are the desktop Chrome shortcuts documented by Google Chrome Help.
- In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination when available. Review the preview, then save the file to a location you can find again.
- Open the saved PDF and confirm that the relevant application identifier, status, latest visible remark, academic year, and any visible date or context are present. Redact private identifiers before sharing the file.
On Android Chrome
Open the status page, tap More → Share → Print, choose Save as PDF, then select a location on the device. The menu names and availability described here are for Chrome; other browsers may have different print controls.

Check what the PDF actually proves
A browser-generated PDF records a rendering of what was visible when you printed it. The official sources do not establish that every status field, date, or dynamic element will always be included, so inspect the output rather than treating a successful save as proof that the page printed completely. If information is missing, try opening a fresh official status view and printing again, or follow the portal’s support instructions. Do not edit the PDF in a way that could suggest a different status.
Keep application progress separate from payment progress. NSP directs students to the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for tracking scholarship disbursement. An application-status PDF by itself is not proof that payment has been made.

Protect private information in saved or shared copies
- Do not share OTR credentials, passwords, Aadhaar details, or other private identifiers in a public copy.
- Keep an unaltered private copy if you need to retain the page as a record. If you share a copy, redact sensitive details without obscuring the status or context you intend to show.
- Use the official portal and its support instructions if you cannot reach the relevant year’s status route; avoid entering credentials into third-party status lookup pages.
