Schedule the stream, share its watch-page link at least 48 hours before launch, and invite viewers to select Notify me. YouTube says a scheduled stream may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, but neither feed visibility nor a notification to every subscriber is guaranteed.
1. Schedule the stream and prepare its watch page
Create the scheduled live stream in YouTube and use its watch page as the central destination for your announcement. YouTube says a stream scheduled for later may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds. Viewers who visit the page can select Notify me to receive a reminder when the stream is about to begin. The listing and reminder are possibilities, not a promise that every subscriber will see or receive an alert. See YouTube’s live stream settings guidance.
Make the page and announcement specific: explain what the 24/7 stream contains, when it starts, and whether it complements or replaces existing programming. If viewers need context about the always-on format, include that plainly rather than presenting the launch as an ordinary one-time livestream.
2. Share the link ahead of launch
YouTube recommends sharing the streaming link at least 48 hours before going live. Put the watch-page link in the announcement so subscribers can visit the scheduled stream and opt into its reminder. YouTube does not publish a guaranteed reach, click-through rate, or view result for this promotion, so avoid promising that a particular number of subscribers will see it.

3. Put the same link on your existing channel touchpoints
Choose places your audience already uses and make it easy to reach the scheduled watch page. YouTube’s live stream promotion guidance suggests these options:
- Channel Live section: Upcoming and live events can be displayed in the channel’s Live area.
- Linked social accounts: Connect accounts to make sharing the stream link easier, then post the announcement where your subscribers follow you.
- Your website: Embed or link to the watch page if you have a site that viewers visit.
- Channel trailer or teaser: Use a short video to explain the new format when that helps existing viewers understand what is changing.
YouTube says subscribers may receive a notification about public events in their homepage feed and may find a stream in What to Watch Next. These are possible discovery surfaces, not guaranteed delivery or ranked promotion methods. Prioritize the places you already maintain and include the direct watch-page link wherever possible.

4. Decide whether a trailer or launch event fits
Scheduled-stream trailer
Eligible creators can add a trailer that plays on the scheduled stream’s watch page before the event. YouTube’s current help page says this option is available to channels with more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes; the trailer video must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long. Check YouTube’s stream settings guidance for current details.
Premiere or Live Redirect
A Premiere can provide a scheduled, shareable watch page for a suitable launch video. YouTube recommends scheduling Premieres at least 24 hours in advance so viewers have an opportunity to see the thumbnail in the subscriptions feed. Live Redirect can send viewers from an ending live stream to a Premiere or another live stream. To send a redirect, YouTube says a creator needs more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes; redirecting viewers to another channel also requires that channel’s permission. It is useful only if you have an appropriate event ending immediately before the new stream. Details are in YouTube Live Redirect guidance.
5. A practical announcement checklist
- Schedule the stream and copy its watch-page link.
- State what viewers will see, when the stream begins, and how it relates to current programming.
- Share the link at least 48 hours before launch, following YouTube’s recommendation.
- Post the same link through relevant channel touchpoints, such as the Live section, linked social accounts, or your website.
- Ask viewers to open the scheduled page and select Notify me if they want a reminder.
- Use a trailer, Premiere, or Live Redirect only when its format and eligibility suit the launch.
