To add Indian-language membership perks, open YouTube Studio → Earn → Memberships, complete the Commerce Product Module setup if prompted, then create levels that clearly state which language each benefit uses. There is no separate Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, or other Indian-language membership switch in the cited setup instructions: the language-specific part is the content and experience you promise members.
Check whether your channel can offer memberships
Sign in to YouTube Studio and look for the Memberships tab under Earn. YouTube says the tab appears only for eligible channels. If you have just been accepted into the YouTube Partner Program, memberships may not be available immediately: YouTube reviews the channel against the eligibility criteria, and activation can take up to two days after acceptance. Turn on memberships and create levels
- Open YouTube Studio on a computer and sign in to the channel you want to configure.
- Select Earn in the left menu, then open Memberships.
- Choose Get started and follow the on-screen prompts. Accept the Commerce Product Module when YouTube asks you to.
- Create membership levels and add perks. YouTube’s setup guidance allows up to six levels, with one to five perks per level. Perks stack: members in a higher-priced level also receive the perks from lower levels. See YouTube’s instructions for creating or managing membership levels and perks.
- Submit the levels and perks for review. YouTube reviews them against its policies before they go live. You are responsible for delivering the benefits you advertise.
Choose perks that work in Indian languages
Make each benefit specific enough that viewers know what language they will hear or read, and you know what you must produce. Membership perks can include members-only posts, videos, Shorts, live streams or chats, early access, badges, emoji, milestone chats, and the recognition shelf. Not every option will suit every channel; choose from the perks Studio makes available to you.

When naming levels, favor an explicit promise such as “monthly members-only Q&A in Hindi” over a vague label such as “Hindi perks.” YouTube advises creators to weigh what viewers value against what they can reliably deliver; its help page puts the obligation plainly: “You must deliver these perks to your members, so consider whether you can deliver these perks to your members’ satisfaction.”

Keep dubbing and membership perks separate
YouTube’s automatic dubbing creates translated audio tracks for eligible videos, while multi-language audio lets creators add audio tracks in multiple languages to a video. Neither is a language-specific membership toggle. A member can receive a members-only video as a perk, but the available audio tracks depend on the localization feature, supported languages, and that video’s eligibility.
For each video, check its Languages page in YouTube Studio before advertising a dubbed version. YouTube announced an expansion of multi-language audio to millions of creators in September 2025 and reported that creators uploading multi-language audio tracks saw, on average, over 25% of watch time come from views in a video’s non-primary language. Check the membership prices Studio offers in India
YouTube’s regional pricing page lists India membership tiers in rupees, but it notes that price updates beginning in May 2025 are rolling out gradually. The published table includes entries such as ₹59 against a USD reference price of $0.99 and ₹299 against $4.99; these are documented table entries, not a promise that the same choices are currently available to every channel. Plan delivery before publishing
- Choose languages that match your audience and your ability to create or review the content consistently.
- Write the language, format, and cadence into the perk description so expectations are clear.
- Account for higher-level perks stacking on lower levels when estimating your workload.
- Check localization availability per video; do not assume every upload can be dubbed into every language.
- Review YouTube’s policies and the final descriptions before submitting levels for review.
