Use an OBS Text source for a fixed Hindi product name and price, or a Browser Source displaying a local HTML page for designed cards and timed rotation. Check the Devanagari rendering in OBS on the computer you will stream from, then verify the scene in YouTube’s Live Control Room preview before going live.
Choose a Text source or Browser Source

OBS documents both Text sources and Browser Sources. Its Sources Guide explains how sources contribute to a scene.
Set up a fixed Hindi label with a Text source
- In OBS Studio, select the scene for the demo and use the Sources dock’s add control to add a Text source. Give it a clear name, such as “Product name and price.”
- Enter the exact Hindi product name and verified price, including the currency. If you need to update copy outside OBS, configure the Text source to read from a text file instead; OBS supports file-backed text.
- Choose the text styling and position, then inspect it at the scene’s output size. Check vowel marks, conjuncts, punctuation and line breaks rather than assuming that correct input guarantees correct rendering.
- If any glyph is missing or malformed, try a Devanagari-capable font installed on that computer and recheck the OBS canvas. OBS’s documentation describes font selection but does not promise Devanagari support or specify a Hindi font that is guaranteed to work.
Keep the copy concise and the price readable. Confirm the amount and currency before broadcast, and leave the label on screen long enough for viewers to read it.

Build rotating product cards with a local HTML page
- Create a local HTML file containing one card per product, with the Hindi name, verified price and currency. Add an offer only if it is accurate.
- If you want the cards to change automatically, implement the timing and rotation in the page itself. OBS’s Browser Source loads a webpage or local file; the cited OBS documentation does not describe a native timed product-card playlist.
- In OBS, add a Browser Source to the demo scene and select its local-file option to load the HTML file. Set the source width and height to match the intended card area.
- Design within that viewport, then inspect the result on the OBS canvas at the actual output resolution. Check text fit, contrast against the video and every card’s Devanagari glyphs.
- Test the sequence in OBS, including the timing and any page refresh behavior, before using it in a live broadcast.
Check the Hindi copy and the broadcast before going live
- Verify each product name, price and currency against the current information you intend to show. Avoid relying on an old text file or card.
- Inspect the actual OBS preview on the streaming computer. The reviewed OBS documentation does not guarantee Hindi-script rendering; check marks, conjuncts and line breaks in the rendered scene.
- In YouTube Live Control Room, check the encoder preview before starting and test audio and moving video comparable to the planned demo. YouTube also recommends monitoring stream health and messages during the event. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions and streaming tips.
- Use encoder settings that suit the channel and available upload connection. YouTube’s guidance supports RTMPS and lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1; it permits up to 60 fps and recommends a two-second keyframe frequency, with no more than four seconds. See YouTube’s encoder settings guidance.
