Add a game from its Steam Store page by selecting Add to your Wishlist. To manage your list, open Store > Wishlist, where you can reorder or remove entries and adjust who can see the list through your Community Profile privacy settings. Steam says Wishlist entries can generate a notification when a game goes on sale, but its published instructions do not specify the current delivery controls.
How to add a game to your Steam Wishlist
- Open the game’s page in the Steam Store.
- Select Add to your Wishlist on the left side of the storefront page. Steam’s Wishlist instructions describe this as the way to add a game.
How to find and organize your Wishlist
Sign in to Steam, hover over Store, and choose Wishlist. Steam says you can edit the list in the Steam client or a web browser.

Change the order
Drag an item to a new position, or enter a position number in the field beside a game or DLC title.
Remove a game or DLC
- On the Wishlist, select Remove beneath the item’s name.
- Alternatively, open the game’s Store page, select the arrow beside On Wishlist, then choose Remove from your Wishlist.
Who can see your Wishlist?
Your Wishlist’s visibility follows your Community Profile privacy settings. Steam describes three audience choices: all users, Steam friends, or only you. Change the profile visibility setting to control who can view the list; the Steam Wishlist help page covers this relationship.

How Steam Wishlist sale notifications work
Steam says the Wishlist can notify you when a game you want goes on sale. Its sales FAQ points users to the Wishlist information and Email Preferences.
The cited Steam guidance does not specify current delivery channels, notification frequency, default settings, or a complete path for configuring email or mobile alerts. Check Steam’s current Email Preferences and account settings for available delivery controls rather than assuming a particular channel is enabled.

Steam’s published Wishlist instructions name the client and browser, but do not provide a separate mobile-app walkthrough. Controls may not appear identically in every interface.
