To add FireShot, install Take Webpage Screenshots Entirely – FireShot from the Chrome Web Store in desktop Chrome. Then open Chrome’s Extensions menu and select Pin beside FireShot. If its icon is already beside the address bar, it is pinned.
How do I add FireShot to Chrome?
- In desktop Chrome, open the Chrome Web Store listing for Take Webpage Screenshots Entirely – FireShot. Check that the listing names FireShot and identifies getfireshot.com as the developer website.
- Select Add to Chrome. Review the permissions Chrome displays, then select Add extension if Chrome asks you to confirm.
- When Chrome finishes installing it, open the Extensions menu near the address bar and find FireShot.
- Select Pin beside FireShot. Its icon should now remain visible on the toolbar.
Google recommends installing only extensions you trust. FireShot’s listing describes capturing a full webpage, the visible area, or a selected area, with PDF, PNG, and JPEG output options. The listing also advertises an optional upgrade.
How do I pin or unpin FireShot?
Open Chrome’s Extensions menu near the address bar. Select Pin beside FireShot to show its icon on the toolbar. To hide it, open the menu or toolbar extension controls and unpin it. Chrome’s instructions explain how to reveal hidden extensions through the Extensions menu and pin them there.

- It may be installed but hidden. Open the Extensions menu. If FireShot is listed, select Pin.
- Check whether it is installed and enabled. In Chrome, go to More > Extensions > Manage extensions and look for FireShot.
- Installation may be blocked in Guest or Incognito. Switch to a regular Chrome window; Google says extensions cannot be added while browsing as a guest or in Incognito mode.
- A work or school policy may prevent installation. If Chrome is managed by an organization, contact its administrator about extension restrictions.
Can I add and pin FireShot in Chrome on a phone?
These steps are based on Google’s instructions for installing computer extensions and pinning them to Chrome’s desktop toolbar. Those sources do not establish that the same installation-and-pin workflow is available in Chrome on phones, so use desktop Chrome for the directions above.
