The Dimensity 7400 Ultra leads the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in 91Mobiles’ reported AnTuTu results, while the two chipsets post close Geekbench scores in the same comparison. These figures come from tested phones, so they indicate a benchmark advantage—not a guarantee that every phone with the MediaTek chip will feel faster. For a buying decision, the exact handset’s cooling, display, battery, cameras, software support, price and regional availability matter too.
How the specifications compare
91Mobiles describes both processors as 4 nm, octa-core mid-range chipsets. Its comparison lists the following specifications:
| Specification | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 | Dimensity 7400 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 4 nm (91Mobiles) | 4 nm (91Mobiles) |
| CPU configuration | Four cores up to 2.4 GHz and four at 1.95 GHz (91Mobiles) | Four cores up to 2.6 GHz and four at 2 GHz (91Mobiles) |
| GPU | Adreno 710 (91Mobiles) | Mali-G615 MC2 (91Mobiles) |
| Memory type listed | LPDDR5 (91Mobiles) | LPDDR5 (91Mobiles) |
MediaTek’s official Dimensity 7400 family page provides additional context, but it is not an Ultra-specific specification sheet. For the family, MediaTek lists four Arm Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores; support for LPDDR5 or LPDDR4x memory and UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1 storage; WFHD+ displays up to 120 Hz; and a 5G R16 modem with up to 3.27 Gb/s downlink under its specified 3CC carrier aggregation. Those are family-level options, not proof that every Dimensity 7400 Ultra phone implements them.
What the benchmark scores show
91Mobiles’ comparison reports these scores for the two chipsets. Its individual chip pages describe the scores as drawn from real-world testing of phones using each chip and identify them as the highest recorded for a device powered by that chip. They are device-test results, not fixed scores every phone will reproduce.

How large is the performance difference?
In 91Mobiles’ listed AnTuTu results, the Dimensity 7400 Ultra is ahead in the total and each component score. The Geekbench results are much closer: the MediaTek chip is slightly ahead in both single-core and multi-core scores in this dataset. Taken together, the figures support an AnTuTu advantage for the 7400 Ultra, not a claim that it will outperform the Snapdragon chip in every task or handset.
Scores should only be compared when the benchmark version and testing basis match. For example, NanoReview’s comparison of the standard Dimensity 7400—not the 7400 Ultra—with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 reports AnTuTu 11 averages of 953,150 and 798,429, based on 91 and 64 tests, respectively. It reports Geekbench 6 multi-core averages of 3,185 and 2,687, based on 19 and 33 tests. These averages describe a different MediaTek chip comparison and sample pool; they should not be substituted for the exact Ultra figures above.

What benchmarks cannot tell you about a phone
A chipset’s peak score is only one part of real-world performance. A phone’s cooling design, power limits, memory configuration and software can affect benchmark results and sustained performance. The available comparisons do not establish battery endurance or controlled long-duration gaming results for a matched pair of phones, so they cannot settle which chip delivers better gaming over time or longer battery life.
MediaTek says its Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0 monitors operating conditions and device status, then adjusts visual quality and performance to balance frame rate and battery life. That is a vendor feature description, not independent evidence of how a particular phone performs.
MediaTek also claims that the Dimensity 7400 family’s NPU 655 provides up to 15% better performance than the previous Dimensity generation, and that AI camera tasks provide up to 94% faster performance and 63% better power efficiency, using UNET Benchmark FPS and FPS/W, respectively. These are MediaTek’s family-level claims with the stated comparison and test basis; they are not Ultra-specific independent results and do not establish an advantage over Qualcomm.

How to choose between phones using these chips
If you are deciding between actual handsets rather than buying a processor on its own, compare the models on the points that most affect your use:
Recommended Free Tools
- Sustained gaming and heat: Look for testing of the exact phone, including longer sessions, rather than relying only on a chipset score.
- Display and touch response: Refresh rate, brightness, resolution and touch behavior are handset features, not guaranteed by a benchmark result.
- Battery and charging: Compare the phone’s battery capacity and charging support; chipset scores do not establish endurance.
- Cameras: Consider the sensors and image processing in the specific model. A chipset-level AI claim does not predict every phone’s photo quality.
- Software support: Check the manufacturer’s update commitment and the version currently installed on the handset.
- Price, configuration and network fit: Compare the actual street price, RAM and storage configuration, and local band support. Availability and configurations can vary by region.
91Mobiles lists the realme P4 Power, realme P4x, realme P4s 5G, realme P4 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro as examples of phones using the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. Its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 examples include the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, Moto G67 Power, Motorola Edge 60 Stylus, Moto G96 5G and realme 14 Pro Lite. These are examples, not recommendations; check the exact regional model and configuration before buying.
