How much side viewing does each protector block?
Ringke’s product page says visibility is reduced at 28° and the display is completely obscured at 40°. Treat these figures as Ringke’s claim, not a guarantee for every viewing condition: the cited information does not establish independent measurements or test conditions. JETech’s cited product information does not give a numerical privacy angle, so the two products cannot be compared on that measure.

A privacy film is intended to make the display harder to see from the side, not to secure the phone, protect account access or prevent someone looking over your shoulder from directly in front. Consider whether its side-viewing effect suits where and how you use the phone.
Will a privacy protector work with the S23 Ultra fingerprint sensor?
The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s fingerprint recognition sensor is at the bottom center of the display. Samsung’s user manual advises keeping that area and your fingers clean and dry, and avoiding scratches or damage to the protector or screen above the sensor. Follow those precautions and the protector’s installation instructions.

JETech says its film supports fingerprint unlocking, but that is a seller claim rather than independent proof of performance. Ringke’s cited product information describes touchscreen response but does not state a fingerprint-unlock claim. After installation, test fingerprint unlocking before relying on it; if recognition is unreliable, check the sensor area for dirt or damage and follow Samsung’s device guidance.

What trade-offs should you compare before buying?
